Beschreibung
Our house is an Hostel localized in the Cerro Bellavista, a central Hill of Valparaiso. We are looking all the year for some volunteers to help us to take care of the house, the cat and the garden. Volunteers must speak fluent English and conversational Spanish.
Our Hostel offers a beautifull vue on the port and enjoys a garden. We provide a bed on a conventional dormitory with our guests. You may be welcome to use the wifi, kitchen and barbecue as you want.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

This place will make you know people from all over the world and discover new culture. You may enjoy your stay here with us and fall in love with Valparaiso.
Valparaíso is a city with a vigorous cultural activity, birthplace of the bank, the bag, the firemen, the Chilean Navy, the telegraph, the telephony, the equestrian, the private education, the soccer, the cinema and the television, among others institutions of Chile. Since the beginning of Chilean history has enjoyed great importance in this aspect, since being the main port of the country, was receiving immigrants from Europe and other parts of the world
We are right in the middle of the Open Sky Museum of Valparaiso.
The fact that the paintings are arranged in a path through the hillside, in different positions, that there are stairways so special and pictorial, surrealistic - as the number 16 of Nemesio Antunez - expressionist, pop art, art optical, figurative and abstract, each of the painters chose his own wall, that is to say "his own canvas", that the artist has not been imposed on a common theme or homage - which is common in murals of the city - which symbolize the artist's own character in a close relationship with the neighbors as accomplices, collaborators, friends and critics - it is said that they supplied them with tea, kept their belongings at the end of the day and took care of the paintings - resulting in an illustration of the environment and the moment in which they are inserted, is properly a museum. It was inaugurated in 1992 with beautiful works by Nemesio Antúnez, Mario Toral and Roberto Matta among other great artists, and can be accessed by Elevador "Espíritu Santo"Arbeit
Volunteers may have to help at reception, with some cleaning, feed the cat and water the garden. The most important is being sociable and aware if the turists need something,

We want our volunteers to be as a family with the guests, that is why they may have a conventional bed in a dormitory. Each bed offers privacity with a curtain, a light and 2 plugs. Accommodation includes breakfast.

Valparaiso is a very entertaining city, our volunteers never lack to do in their free time.
Geographically, the city appears in the form of a large natural amphitheater, located in the homonymous bay and surrounded by hills, where most of the population lives.8 Between the foot of the hills and the sea, the Plan is formed, administrative, commercial and financial center of the city; while the bordemar is occupied by the port.
Due to its architectural wealth developed mainly at the end of the 19th century, 9 in 2003 its historic center was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, becoming the third Chilean site protected by the international body
The hills are basically the residential place of the city and more. In them we can find from precariously constructed huts, palaces of the most varied architectonic types and sizes, an old prison transformed into a cultural center, cemeteries (Nº1, of Dissidents, Nº2 or Nº3); pleasant pedestrian walks from which you can see all of Valparaiso, accessible from the multiple public lifts that can be found, vibrant nightlife, boutiques hotels located in old houses, restaurants, shops or art galleries. In the hills there are also kindergartens, elementary schools, secondary schools and universities such as Federico Santa Maria in Placeres, Playa Ancha and Arturo Prat Naval School, squares, museums such as La Sebastiana, National Maritime Museum, Puppet Museum and the Clown or the Museum of Fine Arts of Valparaiso, hospitals, clinics and stadiums.
The routes between the oldest hills of the city (Alegre and Concepción) allow to contemplate the English colonial architecture of its houses, its churches of the early nineteenth century and to enter contemporary museums, gardens and small squares, viewpoints hidden between houses and balconies. Around its hills and Plan Almendral there are interesting museums, among which are Naval and Maritime (whose entrance is in the middle of the Handicraft Fair of 21 st May), Lord Cochrane, the Municipal Fine Arts, installed in the Baburizza Palace, the Natural History Museum, the Clown and the Puppet Museum, the Municipal Art gallery, the Lukas viewpoint and La Sebastiana, one of the houses of the poet Pablo Neruda.
Referring to the artistic wealth of the city are the Naval and Maritime museums, which is accessed through the middle of the craft fair of Paseo 21 de Mayo in the hill Artillery; Municipal Fine Arts, Lord Thomas Cochrane Sea and Natural History; the Municipal Gallery of Art (Condell 1550), La Sebastiana, one of the houses of Pablo Neruda that is located in the Florida hill.
The Biblioteca Santiago Severín de Valparaíso was the first public library proper such that Chile had.Etwas mehr Information
