We have an established yoga retreat which has been based on the beautiful Koh Yao Noi for 10 years now. With a traditional Thai 'no frills' style, we like to make sure the emphasis here is on the quality of yoga and beauty of the nature around us.

Take some time out to reconnect with nature on beautiful Koh Yao Noi, a stunning little island nestled in Phang Nga bay in Thailand. You can participate in twice daily yoga and meditation classes while you're here and we'll provide a hearty breakfast and unlimited water, tea and coffee. You will also have access to our shala spaces when they're not in use if you'd like to use this for your own yoga or fitness practice.
We host tai chi on the beach 6 days out of 7 which is an astoundingly beautiful place to watch the sunrise and connect with nature.
We also host a variety of yoga workshops and treatments which can further deepen your practice and volunteers receive a discount on any of these.
We are also looking for some support with marketing projects so people with a proven experience in social media management, content creation, photography, video editing and copy writing skills can reach out to see if we have any suitable roles. The ideal person should have a passion for yoga and a can-do attitude! For any creative projects, please send a portfolio or example of your previous work.
We don't expect you to have all of these skills! We can host 2 volunteer (or 2 couples / friends) at a time and have various projects in mind so get in touch, let us know your area of expertise and we can see if there are any suitable roles on the dates you are travelling.
The successful applicants should be respectful, resilient and self-sufficient individuals who are able to commit to more than 1 month stay.
*** PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING!! We are only looking for volunteers who can support in these areas and can provide us with examples of their previous work. We cannot accept volunteers for shorter stays than 1 month. We employ local staff who support us with the everyday running of the retreat and have resident yoga instructors who cover all our class needs so we ask that you do not contact us to offer reception or general duties or as a yoga teacher. You'll stay on site, in one of our newly refurbished staff rooms. We have a mix of double and twin rooms. If we have space, we will always try to give you a private room, however you may be sharing with another volunteer of the same sex. Each room has it's own private bathroom and use of a shared a kitchen area with other volunteers and staff. The staff area is separated from the rest of the retreat and has a balcony to hang out over the mangroves to allow you a space to relax away from the guests.
The retreat is located directly on a beach and has beautiful views over Phang Nga bay. We also have a Thai restaurant, health food cafe and swimming pool on site as well as 3 beautiful yoga shala's which you are welcome to make use of while there are no other classes.
Our beach is greatly impacted by the tide so while beautiful, may not be the best spot for swimming! Don't worry though, there are plenty of hidden beaches dotted around the island just waiting for you to explore :)
Koh Yao Noi is a stunning island - recently dubbed one of the 6 Most Wild and Beautiful Places to Practice Yoga by the National Geographic! Although only 30 minutes from Phuket by boat and 45 from Krabi, it's still relatively untouched by tourism compared to the rest of Thailand so it's the perfect place to unwind and connect back with nature.
The island is predominantly muslim in comparison to some of the more touristic spots in Thailand, so you won't find any full moon parties or 'buckets' here which has helped the island retain it's natural charm. It does also mean we should be a little more aware of the local culture, dressing more modestly in public areas than you might in a busy tourist spot for example.
There are many beautiful beaches to explore and often you'll have these completely to yourself! We arrange many different excursions including island hopping, kayaking, cooking classes, or you can happily spend the day exploring the island on a scooter.
There are some good climbing routes for experienced climbers and you could also practice muay thai at a local gym here.
