  Shaaz is a long-term traveler, surfer, and hospitality guy who’s spent years running stays and hostels in Dubai and traveling around the world. Along the way, one thing became clear to him: Sri Lanka was the right place to turn his island-life dream into something real.
  
  The idea is simple. A beachfront hostel where comfort, community, culture, and coastal living all come together. A place designed for travelers, surfers, digital nomads, and anyone who loves a social but comfortable stay. Think private rooms, stylish dorms, open hangout spaces, a bar, a restaurant, and weekly activities that naturally bring people together.
  
  This isn’t just about one location. The bigger goal is to slowly raise hostel standards in Sri Lanka and build a small chain of premium hostels across the island—each one focused on sustainability, strong community vibes, and real Sri Lankan coastal culture.For Shaaz, this isn’t just a business. It’s personal. It’s about creating spaces where people connect, surf, share stories, make memories, and actually feel the soul of Sri Lanka.
  
  We’re currently in the construction and renovation stage and will be fully ready to welcome volunteers by 15th January.
  
  Volunteering with us is the perfect way to experience real island life in a vibrant, friendly, tropical setting 🌞🌊 You’ll stay right on the beach, meet travelers from all over the world, and enjoy surf culture, sunsets, music, and community activities—while helping just a few hours a day.

  We’re opening a **new social hostel in Mirissa** and looking for **fun, energetic, and positive people** to join our opening team.
  If you love the beach, meeting travelers, and creating good vibes — we want you.
  
  ### 🔹 Social Host
  
  Create a friendly, social atmosphere at the hostel.
  
  **What you’ll do:**
  
  * Welcome guests and help them connect
  * Organize games, sunset walks, beach hangouts
  * Host evening social activities
  * Help create fun vibes
  
  ### 🔹 Front Desk / Guest Relations
  
  Be the first smile guests see.
  
  **What you’ll do:**
  
  * Check-ins and check-outs
  * Handle bookings and messages
  * Help guests with local tips and activities
  
  ### 🔹 Activity Manager
  
  Plan and run daily hostel activities.
  
  **What you’ll do:**
  
  * Organize surf, whale watching, yoga, social events
  * Coordinate with local partners
  * Promote activities to guests
  
  ### 🔹 Yoga & Meditation Instructor
  
  Morning wellness sessions for guests.
  
  **What you’ll do:**
  
  * Lead yoga and meditation classes
  * Create calm and positive energy
  * Sunrise or morning sessions
  
  ### 🔹 Morning Running Activity Host
  
  Start the day with energy.
  
  **What you’ll do:**
  
  * Lead morning beach or village runs
  * Stretching and cool-down
  * Motivate guests to join
  
  ### 🔹 Content Creator / Videographer
  
  Help us show the hostel vibe online.
  
  **What you’ll do:**
  
  * Take photos and videos of hostel life
  * Create reels, stories, and short videos
  * Capture guests, activities, beach, sunsets
  
  *Phone camera is fine — creativity matters more.*

  Share the surf lifestyle with our guests.

  * Teach beginner surf lessons
  * Help guests feel safe and confident

  At our hostel, we make sure every volunteer feels at home and truly enjoys the island lifestyle while being part of our community. When you join our team, you’ll receive free accommodation in a comfortable dorm bed in our premium beachfront hostel, along with access to all common areas, hangout spots and coworking spaces. You’ll live in a safe, social and clean environment surrounded by travellers from all over the world.
  
  You’ll also get free daily breakfast, with fresh, local and healthy meals shared with the team and guests. It’s the perfect way to start your day before activities or volunteer hours.
  
  Volunteers are welcome to join all our weekly events at no cost. This includes beach trips, sunset gatherings, yoga sessions when available, BBQ nights, open mic nights, workshops and any special activities happening during your stay.
  
  As part of the hostel family, you’ll experience the full beachfront lifestyle and a warm, social community. You’ll meet people from around the world and still have plenty of free time to explore Sri Lanka and enjoy the island at your own pace.
