Vom Workawayer (Falk) für Host
Staying with Hailey and Odin ( and Evalyn:) ) was a great experience. I had only been in Canada for two weeks when I arrived, and they were incredibly kind and helpful in helping me find my way and settle in. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming, which made it easy to feel at home. Most of the work took place outdoors, which I really
… read more enjoyed, and their small farm is a truly beautiful and peaceful place. The tasks were fair, clearly explained, and I learned a lot during my time there.
Later on, I was happy to return to house- and dog-sit for them. I truly appreciated their trust in me, and I got along very well with Bill – he’s a wonderful dog!
Throughout my travels, they supported me in many ways, and I’m very thankful for all their help and kindness.

Falk stayed with us for a few weeks in June and early July to help on our hobby farm, and he was an absolute pleasure to host. He brought great energy and a strong work ethic, and was happy to take on all kinds of tasks with enthusiasm and care. Later in the summer, he returned to house- and dog-sit for us while we were abroad, and we had total confidence leaving everything in his hands. This spring, we were happy to see him again briefly as he parked his vehicle with us while off on another adventure.
With his background in aircraft mechanics and love of the outdoors, Falk brings a great mix of practical skills and a grounded, independent spirit. We’d host him again in a heartbeat and would happily recommend him to any other host. Thanks again, Falk
