Pasé tres semanas con Ignacio y disfruté mucho de mi tiempo allí. El paisaje es impresionante y pude conocer muchas cosas nuevas. A pesar de mis dificultades iniciales para entender el acento local, la comunicación funcionó bien. ¡Me encantaría hacerlo una y otra vez!

I spent one week with Ignacio (and his two kids who where there for holiday) and I had a great time!
The work was well explained by him and very enjoyable (I worked in his beautiful vegetable garden and helped cleaning in the house one time). He was working during daytime but always spent time with me as soon as he got back, we went several times
… read more to the restaurant just next door for a beer or pizza and live music. We visited his cousin for lunch and he let me go for a ride with his horse. Eventhough my spanish was not very good we managed to communicate very well and I enjoyed to stay up with him after a delicious homecooked diner with a cold beer.
People in the neighbourhood are extremely nice (a lot of german and swiss people) and the area is beautiful for walking.

Wow! What a gorgeous time at Ignacios place!!!
At the beginning mi idea was to stay for about 2 weeks and after that continue my journey through Spain.
But spending my time with Ignacio (at weekends with his lovely children too) and feeling the quietness of the mountains made me stay at least two month!

Surly nobody knows the ambient surrounding better than he does!
I loved it to accompany him when he went to feed the cows which are living free in the Sierra.
Sometimes we climbed up and down to find the herd. That was amazing!
Ignacio gave me things do to in and around the house. I cannot say, that it felt like I was working :D
He has a beautiful clean house with electricity and the toilet inside the house, what not is standard in the Sierra.
Because it was february and march, we spend the evenings sitting in front of the warm fire in the chimney, chattering, laughing and discussing things while enjoying a cool cerveza.
Ignacio is a great cook. Often we ate homemade meat o sausage of home breed animals.
He introduced me to his family and neighbors. Everybody was very nice to me!
I absolutely enjoyed his company and his place and can fully recommend to spend some time there!
See the little dog rising up, take the first eggs from the young chicken, see the garden turning into an oasis....!

I spent 1week and half at Ignacio's place and it was a great experience. I fell in love with the roses outside the house, the gorgeous terrace where i could sunbathe under the roses and smell their beautiful fragrance or have the most incredible view of the mountains or stargaze; the place has a very beautiful energy that I liked :)

… read more light, painting the kitchen and a wall outside, cleaning on the house and windows, a bit of help in the garden; guess the work also depends on the time you are there, but Ignacio is pretty flexible and will make sure you have a good time there, rather than focus too much on the work. He is a great cook, a very nice chilled company, he knows a lot about animals and loves sharing info , he is very helpful, he has a very nice family.
I had a great time there and I am happy I accidentally had to take this workaway :)

Pase algunos días en la casa de Ignacio. Le ayude con su casa, fuimos a recoger sus vacas en la Sierra con sus perros y trabajemos un poco en los campos de olivos. El trabajo no estaba duro. I spent a few days at Ignacio's house. I worked around his house, we went to get his cows with his dogs and we worked a bit in the olive fields. The work was not very hard. Ignacio does not say much but is a very friendly and easy going person and a great cook too. If you like nature and animals and don't mind living in an isolated place, this is a great place to stay to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the mountains and their beauty.
