  ABOUT US
  
  Hi! My name is Jennifer, and together with my partner Henrik we have a beautiful property surrounded by forests, nature and farmland. The atmosphere here is peaceful, grounding and very close to nature.
  
  We have two children, one who is five years old and one little boy, Wilhelm, who is almost two years old. We live permanently in Oslo, Norway, but also spend a lot of time at our house on the Swedish side near the Norwegian border, about 1.5 hours away by car.
  
  We do not have animals, but we have a large property with many outdoor projects, maintenance tasks and creative ideas that we work on throughout the season.
  
  Our project is mainly about maintaining and slowly building up the property. We are often working on things like gardening, outdoor maintenance, painting, organizing spaces, simple DIY projects and improving different areas around the house and land. There is always something creative or practical happening, and we enjoy creating a warm, natural and relaxed environment around the property.
  
  We enjoy nature, simple living, outdoor life and a slower lifestyle close to the forest and countryside 😊

  CULTURAL EXCHANGE
  
  We believe cultural exchange happens naturally through everyday life, conversations, food, projects and spending time together.
  
  At home we speak both Swedish and Norwegian, and I also come from Botswana in Southern Africa, so there is a mix of cultures, traditions and perspectives in our family life. We enjoy sharing stories, food, language and experiences from different cultures, and we are always interested in learning about other people’s backgrounds and traditions as well.
  
  There will also be opportunities to learn practical things connected to countryside life and maintaining a property. Depending on the period and projects, this can include gardening, painting, organizing spaces, outdoor work and simple creative or DIY projects. We enjoy creating things ourselves and working with our hands, so this can be a nice experience for someone who enjoys practical and creative work.
  
  Living here also gives insight into family life with young children in a Scandinavian environment, surrounded by nature and slower countryside living. We hope it becomes an experience where we can learn from each other in a relaxed and natural way 😊

  HELP REQUEST
  
  At this moment it will mainly be me and my youngest son Wilhelm staying at the property, which is why I am looking for an extra helping hand during this period.
  
  A large part of the help will involve spending time with Willhem playing, being outdoors, joining activities and helping keep an eye on him while I work on different tasks around the property. He is a very happy, curious and energetic almost-two-year-old who loves being outside, exploring and constantly doing things 😊
  
  Because of this, I am looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being active, playful and spending time outdoors. It is important that you are comfortable around young children and can handle a high-energy environment with lots of movement, emotions and outdoor play.
  
  The help will be a natural mix of:
  - spending time with Willhem and joining activities with him
  - helping around the garden and outdoor areas
  - painting and maintenance tasks
  - organizing and light cleaning
  - small DIY or practical projects depending on the period
  
  The days will usually involve switching between practical tasks around the property and helping me keep Willhem entertained, active and safe while things get done.
  
  The tasks can vary depending on weather and current projects, and we try to keep things flexible and relaxed.
  
  We are mainly looking for help for around 2 weeks in June, although up to 3 weeks could also work. Maximum 3 weeks this time 😊

  TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION
  
  We offer accommodation either in the main house or in a small private cottage on the property, depending on what feels most comfortable and suitable.
  
  The main house is a beautiful old countryside house with a guest bedroom available. We also have a small cottage with a simple kitchen area, which can be a nice option for someone who enjoys having a bit more privacy, quiet time and personal space to relax.
  
  The property is surrounded by forests, farmland and nature, creating a very peaceful and calm atmosphere.
  
  We have a simple shared toilet and a separate shower area that we all use. The standard is simple and countryside-style, but comfortable and cozy 😊
  
  This place is best suited for someone who enjoys nature, simple living and spending time outdoors rather than luxury or city life.

  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  
  The property is surrounded by forests, trails, nature and farmland, so most of the free time here is usually spent outdoors enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There are beautiful walking trails, forest paths, lakes and fishing areas nearby, and simply walking around in nature here can feel very relaxing and fulfilling.
  
  We also have bicycles available that can be used to explore the local area and surroundings.
  
  During weekdays, life here is usually very calm and centered around the property itself. At the moment, when I am staying there alone with Willhem, we do not always have easy access to a car during the weekdays. There is public transport and buses available, although not very frequently.
  
  During weekends, my partner Henrik is usually at the property as well, which makes it easier to go shopping, visit nearby towns, cafés or explore more of the area if wanted.
  
  Most people who stay here usually enjoy the slower pace, nature, outdoor life and spending time around the property itself rather than city life. We also have a small spa house with a sauna and jacuzzi area that can be enjoyed during free time 😊
