  Join a conscious living project in Chiapas!
  
  Hello, I'm Otto, I'm 35 years old and I live near Tapachula, Chiapas, on an old coffee farm that I'm transforming into a sustainable, loving and possibility-filled space. This project is an invitation to live in a more conscious, simple and spiritual way, in connection with nature and with those who share a similar vision.
  
  The land is located in a privileged place:
  
  30 minutes from the beach and 45 minutes from the border with Guatemala and the majestic Tacaná volcano.
  It includes two rivers that you can explore by crossing the jungle, waterfalls perfect for bathing, and abundant fruit trees, cocoa trees and coffee trees.
  Two years ago I built a house and an alternative pizzeria with the help of volunteers. The pizzeria (capacity for 40 people) operates from Thursday to Sunday evenings and has been a space for community gatherings and activities. We also have a small workshop-room to build, repair and improve together whatever we need: a temazcal, a massage and tattoo parlor.
  
  What am I looking for?
  
  People who wish to collaborate in activities such as space improvement, implementation of permaculture principles and natural construction.
  Volunteers interested in staying long-term (even a year or more).
  People who dream of acquiring a piece of land to build their own space in harmony with this sustainable living project.
  And, who knows, perhaps a conscious and spiritual partner to share this path with.
  
  This place is an extension of my heart, and I am committed to improving it step by step. More than a project, it is a lifestyle: cooking together, enjoying music, practicing yoga, exploring the jungle or simply doing nothing and enjoying the moment with friends and neighbors.

  Hola . soy Otto, tengo 35 años y vivo cerca de Tapachula, Chiapas, en una antigua finca cafetalera que estoy transformando en un espacio sostenible, amoroso y lleno de posibilidades. Este proyecto es una invitación a vivir de manera más consciente, sencilla y espiritual, en conexión con la naturaleza y con quienes comparten una visión similar.
  
  El terreno está ubicado en un lugar privilegiado:
  
  A 30 minutos de la playa y A 45 minutos de la frontera con Guatemala y el majestuoso volcán Tacaná.
  Incluye dos ríos que puedes explorar cruzando la selva, cascadas perfectas para bañarte, y abundantes árboles frutales, cacaoteros y cafetos.
  Hace dos años construí una casa y una pizzería alternativa con la ayuda de voluntarios. La pizzería (capacidad para 40 personas) opera de jueves a domingo por la noche y ha sido un espacio de encuentro y actividades en comunidad. También contamos con una pequeña sala-taller para construir, reparar y mejorar juntos lo que necesitemos. un temazcal, un salos de masajes y tatuajes.
  
  ¿Qué estoy buscando?
  
  Personas que deseen colaborar en actividades como la mejora del espacio, la implementación de principios de permacultura y la construcción natural.
  Voluntarios interesados en quedarse a largo plazo (incluso un año o más).
  Personas que sueñen con adquirir un pedazo de terreno para construir su propio espacio en armonía con este proyecto de vida sostenible.
  Y, quién sabe, quizás una pareja consciente y espiritual con la que compartir este camino.
  
  Este lugar es una extensión de mi corazón, y estoy comprometido a mejorarlo paso a paso. Más que un proyecto, es un estilo de vida: cocinar juntos, disfrutar de la música, practicar yoga, explorar la selva o simplemente no hacer nada y disfrutar del momento con amigos y vecinos.

In addition, I can teach you about my Wixarika culture, medicinal songs, temazcal ceremonies, and much more. For me, it is a unique opportunity to give you the chance to get to know my culture and experience my way of life in a deep and authentic way.
  
  I am also very interested in learning from you, especially about the traditions, recipes, and language of your home country. It will be a real pleasure to exchange our experiences and knowledge.

  Me encantaría compartir contigo mis conocimientos sobre permacultura, plantas medicinales, cultivo de hortalizas, yoga y cómo vivir con baja tecnología. Además, puedo enseñarte sobre mi cultura Wixarika, canciones medicinales, ceremonias de temazcal y mucho más. Para mí, es una oportunidad única darte la posibilidad de conocer mi cultura y experimentar mi forma de vida de una manera profunda y auténtica.

  Arbeit

  I love improving my English, so I would like you to be able to speak to me and my son in English. In return, I will be happy to help you improve your Spanish vocabulary. Also, I need your help around the house (just like you would in your own home), and if you feel comfortable, you could also help out at the Restaurant, cleaning, preparing food, or serving guests.
  
  This place is not just a restaurant, but also a meeting point to play board games and enjoy good company. Don't worry if your Spanish is not perfect, we are here to share our skills and learn from each other.
  
  The environment is surrounded by jungle, so we need to do constant reforestation, cut grass, plant seeds, and take care of the space. You can also help make the jungle more accessible, picking up trash and developing your own projects to make this place even more beautiful.
  
  From time to time there are bigger projects. We are currently planning to create a swap meet in the garden and I will probably need your help to carry it out. Another project we have in mind is to paint some rooms to make the place more colorful. We also host Movie Nights with friends and neighbors, it's a great way to relax and enjoy together!
  
  The most important thing is that everyone can bring something positive to this place, as long as you do it with your heart and a smile. You don't need to be an expert in carpentry, maybe you have skills in marketing, technology, music or anything else that can help improve the space, just like you would in your own home.

  Me encanta mejorar mi inglés, por eso me gustaría que pudieras hablar conmigo y con mi hijo en inglés. A cambio, estaré encantado de ayudarte a mejorar tu vocabulario en español. Además, necesito tu ayuda en el hogar (como lo harías en tu propia casa), y si te sientes cómodo, también podrías colaborar en el Restaurante, limpiando, preparando comida o atendiendo a los invitados.
  
  Este lugar no es solo un restaurante, sino también un punto de encuentro para jugar juegos de mesa y disfrutar de buena compañía. No te preocupes si tu español no es perfecto, estamos aquí para compartir nuestras habilidades y aprender unos de otros.
  
  El entorno está rodeado de selva, por lo que necesitamos hacer reforestación constante, cortar pasto, plantar semillas y cuidar el espacio. También puedes ayudar a hacer la jungla más accesible, recogiendo basura y desarrollando proyectos propios para hacer de este lugar algo aún más hermoso.
  
  De vez en cuando hay proyectos más grandes. Actualmente estamos planeando crear un mercado de intercambio en el jardín y probablemente necesitaré tu ayuda para llevarlo a cabo. Otro proyecto que tenemos en mente es pintar algunas habitaciones para hacer el lugar más colorido. También organizamos Noches de Cine con amigos y vecinos, ¡es una excelente manera de relajarnos y disfrutar juntos!
  
  Lo más importante es que todo el mundo puede aportar algo positivo a este lugar, siempre que lo hagas con el corazón y una sonrisa. No necesitas ser un experto en carpintería, tal vez tengas habilidades en marketing, tecnología, música o cualquier otra cosa que pueda ayudar a mejorar el espacio, como lo harías en tu propio hogar.

  Unterkunft

  We have a cozy and furnished room, perfect for people traveling alone or for a couple. The room is equipped with bed linen, table and mosquito nets, and is located next to the restaurant. You will share the bathroom (with dry toilet, no running water), kitchen and living room with us, in an atmosphere of companionship and harmony.
  
  As a thank you for your help and work, I will offer you two meals a day, although if you prefer, you can cook for yourself and enjoy the freedom to prepare whatever you fancy. I occasionally travel to Tapachula-City to buy food and other necessities at the street market and supermarket, and it would be a pleasure for you to accompany me if you would like to go out and explore.

  Tenemos una habitación acogedora y amueblada, perfecta para personas que viajan solas o para una pareja. La habitación está equipada con ropa de cama, mesa y mosquiteros, y está ubicada junto al restaurante. Compartirás el baño (con inodoro seco, sin agua corriente), la cocina y la sala de estar con nosotros, en un ambiente de compañerismo y armonía.
  
  Como agradecimiento por tu ayuda y trabajo, te ofreceré dos comidas al día, aunque si prefieres, puedes cocinar por ti mismo y disfrutar de la libertad de preparar lo que te apetezca. De vez en cuando viajo a Tapachula-Ciudad para comprar alimentos y otras necesidades en el mercado callejero y el supermercado, y sería un placer que me acompañaras si te gustaría salir a explorar.

  Our expectations with volunteering
  
  Our main expectation is to share experiences and practice English. There is always something to do, but don't worry if some days there isn't much to do; there are days when we are just more relaxed. The idea is that you come, settle in and find your opportunity to grow by doing what you like the most.
  
  Let us teach you something about us or, if you prefer, teach us something about yourself. Help me and my neighbors with your skills and talents. How? With whatever you want and can. I won't ask you to do anything in particular, because here we are like a family, and together we take care of everything: we wash the dishes, we buy the food with the money from the pizzeria that we share among all of us who are here. We also cook, clean, plant, paint, or simply go to the waterfall to bathe, play music, dance, smoke, play a board game, ride a bike or go for a walk. Sometimes we also take time to be alone... Like a real family.

  Nuestras expectativas con el voluntariado
  
  Nuestra principal expectativa es compartir experiencias y practicar el inglés. Siempre hay algo que hacer, pero no te preocupes si algunos días no se hace mucho; hay días en los que simplemente somos más relajados. La idea es que llegues, te instales y encuentres tu oportunidad de crecer haciendo lo que más te guste.
  
  Déjanos enseñarte algo sobre nosotros o, si lo prefieres, enséñanos algo sobre ti. Ayúdanos a mí y a mis vecinos con tus habilidades y talentos. ¿Cómo? Con lo que quieras y puedas. No te pediré que hagas nada en particular, porque aquí somos como una familia, y juntos nos encargamos de todo: lavamos los platos, compramos la comida con el dinero de la pizzería que compartimos entre todos los que estamos aquí. También cocinamos, limpiamos, plantamos, pintamos, o simplemente vamos a la cascada a bañarnos, tocamos música, bailamos, fumamos, jugamos a algún juego de mesa, andamos en bicicleta o salimos a caminar. A veces, también tomamos un tiempo para estar solos... Como en una verdadera familia.
