Beschreibung
Our small farm lies in the "puszta", in the southeast of Hungary. My son (18), two dogs, four cats, seven brahma chicken, two peacocks and a peahen live here with me. The animals run around freely on the farm. Apart from cows there are no neighbours, so it is quiet and cozy here. The next small village is about 2 km away, the next small town about 10 km.
I grow organic vegetables in the permaculture garden and walipini (greenhouse half buried in the ground) and some fruit. The photovoltaic system provides us with electricity and two small groves with wood. We have just finished building a natural swimming pond and enjoy a swim after a hot day.
I organize seminars about healthy nutrition and how to go about fasting. Using the biological healing knowledge based on Dr Hamer I treat conflicts and traumas.
My son works from home for a service hotline.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

As a nutritionist I can help you improving your eating habits. I can show you which wild herbs you can eat and how to prepare them or use them as natural medicine.
If you are from the health sector as well we could offer joint seminars to the German or English speaking community here.Arbeit
I am looking for somebody (or a couple) reliable, positive and curious, who will help us in the garden and greenhouse and has some experience with that. The work includes watering, weeding, digging, spreading manure and mulching, mowing the lawn, pruning bushes and trees, harvesting and preserving.
The houses are mainly heated by wooden stoves, so you should be able to chop wood (with a splitting axe), stack and carry it. The dry summer is ideal for stacking wood for the winter.
There are always small repairs and maintenance tasks to do so being skilful with your hands helps. Later in the summer the gates have to be sanded down and glazed.Sprachen

You will stay in my cozy guesthouse with sleeping room, living room with kitchen and bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped except for an oven, but you may use the ground oven in the summer kitchen (a typical Hungarian open kitchen for the summer time). During summertime and in autumn a lot of vegetable are available, homegrown and organic. Our chicken provide us with eggs. The guesthouse is heated by a wood stove. Accommodation is free. You will have to prepare your own food. The nearest, small supermarket you will find in the village (2 km). Bigger supermarkets and a weekly market you can reach within 10 minutes by car or by bus. You will have your own terrace, from where you can enjoy the sunset. You can also use the fire place for barbecues if there is no wind, the workshop and the large, natural swimming pond. A driving licence and car would be practical, but not essential.

We can only accept guests who can swim as the pond is up to 2 m deep.
In you free time you might want to enjoy the thermal bath (Jonathermál Kiskunmajsa) which you can reach by car within 10 minutes or bus (old fashioned bycicle to the bus station is available). Within half an hours drive you can reach Szeged, the third biggest city in Hungary which is worth more than just one visit. 1,5 hours will take you to Budapest, the beautiful capital. The bus and train stations you will find about 2 km away in the next village. The puszta has always been a paradise for horse riders, because there are no restrictions and lots of sand paths. As the Hungarians love horses there are still a lot of coaches in use, which will be driven at every possible occasion like a village festival or an event in Bugac, the horse center here in the South-East. There you can take riding lessons as well. It will take you only 15 minutes to get there.
There are quite a lot of regular markets, where you can either buy food, handicraft, oldtimers and motorbikes or animals - depending on the kind of market and place. Often you will find people there in traditional costumes, which are a real sight.Etwas mehr Information

My guesthouse is connected to the router by LAN. The connection is good most of the time, so you are very welcome to work on your computer or laptop. You just might need an adapter from your device to the LAN plug. We avoid using mobile data connections and don't offer WIFI.
Hier sind Haustiere in der Regel willkommen
We have a non-neutered medium-sized male dog and a female dog. Your dog should not be an alpha type so they get along with each other and can play together. However, I would ask for a deposit for possible damage to carpets, sofas and cushions. My tomcats are neutered, so another cat should be no problem.
