Helping hand in our family farm by Borlänge, Sweden

  Beschreibung

  We are a couple of about 60 years old that handle this farm. We have two children, three grand children and some god-children that spend a lot of time with us as well as friends and their families.
  
  We live part time in this country house that used to be a farm but now is more a historical site with old timbered farm houses.
  We spend a lot of time here since 2010 and we restore and maintain the farm in as much old-style as possible, but yet with moderns technique present. That means that we, in this phase of the restoration, do a lot of scraping and painting as well as wood work and gardening.
  
  We have cows and sheep on the farm that belong to our neighbour's where we help out to handle them. I maintain our forest myself and also hunt during season. In the yard we have lots of fruit trees as well as berry bushes and nut-trees. Our ambition is to maintain these trees and bushes and use its fruits and berries. I used to have bees and I am soon planning to get the bee hives started again.
  
  We have had workawayers three times. The first ones were supposed to stay for a couple of weeks, but ended up staying for four months 👍doing a lot of different tasks and learning new skills. We still keep in contact. The following two pairs stayed the planned time and we had lots of fun together, where the last couple also came out to our house in the Stockholm archipelago to do gardening there both during their stay and returning for a second visit the following year.
  I say ”pairs” because we only accept couples for security reasons since you might be alone on the property for some days here and there depending on length of stay. It is all about our responsibility and your safety is important to us.
  So, sorry but no singles. Different or same sex on the other hand is no issue for us.

  Unterkunft

  A big and modern flat with good beds, TV, WiFi, simple but OK kitchen, toilet and bathroom.
  
  You will dine with us sometimes, but at own discretion and when suitable. Good food will be included as well as non-alcoholic beverages. We have no problem if you drink your own alcohol, as long as you can handle it, but only accept non-smokers and tolerate no drugs at all.
