  We are an English academy located in San Vicente Pacaya, Guatemala, offering a unique experience that combines English teaching with the opportunity to explore nearby tourist destinations, such as Pacaya Volcano and Antigua Guatemala.
  
  Our 2026 Workaway Dates Are Now Open!
  
  We are excited to announce that our Workaway schedule for 2026 is now available. If you are interested in participating during any of the dates below, please let us know as soon as possible so we can secure your spot.
  
  Available Dates:
  
  7. Jul 1 – Aug 3
  8. Aug 5 – Aug 31
  9. Sep 2 – Oct 5
  10. Oct 7 – Nov 2
  11. Nov 4 – Nov 30
  
  These dates are flexible, but the ones listed above are our ideal periods. We require a minimum stay of 4 weeks (1 month), although longer stays are welcome. Commitment is very important to us, as last-minute cancellations greatly affect our project and limit opportunities for other visitors.
  
  We understand that unexpected issues may arise. If you need to cancel or change your plans, please inform us as early as possible so we can adjust accordingly.

  We understand the importance of acquiring a second language for educational or job advancement in our country. With your visit, you will be helping many locals achieve their education or professional goals.
  
  Our students and local teachers are respectful and committed to their learning, and our location offers a safe environment in a small, yet lively, town.

  Offer:
  - Full Accommodation: A comfortable private apartment including 2 beds, closet, stove, refrigerator, dining table, wardrobe, armchairs, and private bathroom.
  - Location: Near the central park and market.
  - Wifi is provided. Perfect for online students or digital nomads.
  - Basic Food Provision: We can offer rice, pasta, margarine, salt, sugar, coffee, water, eggs, toilet paper, and some other basics.
  - Flexible Hours: We will require a minimum number of hours worked, but we can be flexible with your schedule if you have other commitments.
  - Language Exchange: Practice and improve your language skills with Spanish/English exchange.
  - Prepared Teaching Material: We will organize your work as a teacher to make your job as easy as possible.
  
  Requirements:
  1. Proficiency in English grammar.
  2. Knowledge of Spanish is preferred, but the staff do speak English at the school.
  3. Experience in teaching English or another subject is preferred, but not required.
  4. Contribution to the project: We are always open to improvement and new ways to help our students.
  5. Commitment to the progress of student learning.
  6. Organization of dynamic activities related to language learning.
  7. Availability to work up to 20 hours per week, distributed over 4 or 5 days. (We are flexible)
  8. Availability to stay for at least 4 weeks.
  9. Support making videos for our social media.

  They will be able to travel in many differents towns and cities around San Vicente Pacaya and they will be able to learn about their culture since people in Guatemala are very friendly, they will be willing to listen to their experiences around other countries as well.

  During days off, helpers can travel and visit some turistic places nearby or around all Guatemala. They can hike the Pacaya Volcano in 1 hour, visit the Calderas Lake and many other options in Guatemala.
