  Beschreibung

  We are Ana and Jorge, a couple around 55th years old. We have 3 friendly dogs. We run a little tourism located 7km from the typical little village of Melides in Alentejo and 6/7 km from the beach. We like to go to bed early so we can enjoy the day, the sunlight, the singing of the birds and nature. We eat mostly vegetarian food, eat meet and fish twice a week.
  This is a place to stop, far from busy places, a simple slow living day life but also with a lots of work to do. Important to say that there is nothing to do in the surroundings except beaches and nature, so, don’t expect parties or night bars.
  We are looking for an autonomous and responsible person with experience in tourism/ restaurants and Housekiping who can stay with us during high season (May to September), or at least, 2/3 months.
  A good level of English is important but we prefer people that have a second language like Spanish.
  
  We do not accept couples. ONLY SOLO travellers.
  
  MORE THAN 25 years old. Please DO NOT apply if you did not turn 25.
  
  Preferencial for a person that doesn’t smoke.

  Unterkunft

  The house is located 7 km from the beach on the most preserved coast in Europe. Nature is astonishing. Team room (2 persons). We have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms for 2 to 4 helpers (see photos). All meals are free.
  Since we have a community kitchen, it is not possible to cook for yourself, someone cooks for everyone.
  Important: Don’t include any kind of drinks (except coffee, water and tea). Please buy your own drinks, feel welcome to come with us to the nearest villages to the supermarket.
  Include laundry, internet, bicycles and some activities like yoga and meditation.
  Cleaning is very important since we share a comum place. Also important to respect working schedules.
  To move you can use our bicycles or walk.
  On arrival We pick you up in Santiago do Cacém station (aroud 2h from Lisbon to Santiago do Cacém), at your preferably hour.
  
  Be aware that we only receive SOLO WORKAWAYERs, so, please, apply only if you come alone.

  This is a place to stop, to enjoy nature and the beach. We have bicycles available so you can explore the surroundings, the beach is 6/7km away, and in the surroundings, there are amazing walking trails. We are located 7km from Melides little village and 10km from the typical historical town of Santiago do Cacém. you can use the pool in your free hours if it is not crowded with the guests. The nearest little village is 2 km away. We go to get supplies twice a week, you are welcome to join us. Vicentine Coast is wild and amazing, going down the coast is an extraordinary experience.
  Do not expect parties, discos, bars, there are almost none in the nearest surroundings but you can expect an amazing sunset and sunrise that are not going to let you down.
  Please, if you are not sure you can come or what your dates will be, don’t apply. Last minute cancellation are very difficult for us to manage since we have a limited number of rooms for volunteers.
  Walking trails in nature, wild beaches and peace is what you will find.
  
  Please do not apply if you are coming for holidays, we really need help, so, be prepared to work hard.

  All kinds of vans are welcome, plenty of space but only solo traveler. It is a matter of logistics not a matter of space. So , please if you are travelling with someone, do not apply. We can not receive pets.
