Come and visit our sanctuary near Braga, north Portugal! You are so welcome 🙂
We have a small and beautiful country home at the foot of the Gere mountains and we are in need of some help with creating vegetable and herb gardens, building an area for rescue tortoises and other such delightful things.
i am a conscious coach for children and adults and I live here with my little lightworker companions Buddha (cat) and Bliss (dog).
I have recently moved from the Balearic Islands where I have been teaching children and leading a conscious kids club with Bliss as my teaching assistant for the last few years.
I am now refreshing my coaching certificates and creating programs to support children and adults on and offline from this summer.
I am also a plant based cooking teacher, a firm advocate of animal equality and cruelty free living... and I am in the middle of writing a book. I am learning to play the handpan too 😍
My native language is English, I speak French well, Spanish and Portuguese beginner but keen to improve.

The project is most suitable for independent lady travellers and we are super quiet between the hours of 10pm and 7am. Showers and other noisy activities outside of these times please🙏
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9-1 with shared lunch preparation and eating together around 2pm.
All foods are provided in the working week but if you wish to bring your own extras please ensure that they are vegan friendly (No meat, fish, eggs, dairy) unless they are treats for the animals 🙏Thank you so much! 💚

Our home is consciously managed with plant based foods and cruelty free ethos, and we are tucked away in the middle of a traditional Portuguese village with big private gardens and abundant fruit trees wrapping.
Please try not to bring any cruelty products to the sanctuary 🙏
15 minutes walk through the forest to the Calvado river where you can swim, paddle, kayak.
A short drive to the Gere Mountains and national park, the backdrop from bedroom windows, with abundant wildlife, hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls and hot springs to enjoy.
Bliss and Buddha are empowered and included fully as family members. They are not vegan but very soft and friendly with all. They are the greatest healers and inspirers, it is worth a visit just to meet these two!
Bliss and I like to hike in the mountains and forests, kayak and paddle board, bike and explore the coastline. We are new to the area and happy to share our adventures, next on the agenda is to explore the hot springs and waterfalls on the Spanish side of the mountain ❤️
The Gere Mountains are on the doorstep (view from the bedroom window) and are the only national park in Portugal currently.. a magical place to explore filled with raw wild nature 😍
Arbeit
Gardening assistance needed mostly!
Our lovely neighbour has just brought his tractor to clear an area for a big vegetable garden and there is an old shallow pond that needs to be cleared too.
The garden as a whole needs attention (weeding, compost area, clearing old fruits).
Easy going mornings working on the house or the land and the afternoons you are free to join us on an adventure, create your own or stay at home and relax 🙏

Unterkunft
I have a simple single room on offer for our volunteer with beautiful views of garden and mountains. As summer approaches this may change to a good size tent in the garden 🙂
I will lovingly prepare plant based vegan meals and you are welcome to take part in this too!

We are around an hour from Porto airport and there are trains and buses easily available from Lisbon and Northern Spain too.
We are in a very quiet setting, a sweet village called Goaes, and there is much nature to explore.
I will of course help with transport whenever I can but there is plenty of parking by the church should you wish to bring your own vehicle.

Nearly 1 year old male cat.
Soft, friendly, playful and awesome!
Found under a pallet at Christmas on Ibiza.
Surrogate daddy to Bonny who appeared with him for breakfast in June... And hasn't left!
Bliss
Beautiful 3 year old mixed breed therapy dog who has worked with many children. She is super soft and loves to hike, kayak, play!
