Hello!
We are a friendly/easy going/open minded (all typical words for a profile I know, but it's true 😉) family of 4 who have just relocated to Vienna, Austria.
My husband (33) is a Video Game producer and I (31) am an English teacher/stay at home mum. Our daughter is a strong minded 3 year old and our 6y/o Son is the most laid back dude you'll ever meet. Both are very well behaved and fun/easy to take care of, I write this as a former Nanny myself so I know how important it is to be honest regarding adverts and how the children are, especially if you plan to live with them 😉

We have spent the past 3 years working freelance and travelling around Europe by house swapping. We have spent Summers hiking through the Apls and Winters in the Arctic circle of Sweden and Finland, we love travelling and would love to give others an opportunity to explore our exciting City. Since we are just starting out in a German speaking Country we thought workaway would be a great opportunity to welcome a fluent German speaker into our home and talk with us (and our children esp) in German so they can be prepared for school.
We live in the 2nd District and the Au pairs room will have a stunning view over Prater park and Prater Amusement Park.
We would like someone who will talk to the kids in German constantly and do some German tutoring with them (sit and do songs/learn colours/numbers/ABC etc....)
We would also like you to take them to the park a few times a week (with or without me) and babysit them while I do the food shop or my husband and I go out for a few hours.

We would like about 15 hours a week where we can organise a schedule together and the rest of the time you would be free to explore the City/work etc...

Your room will have a double bed that also lifts up into the wall to give you a sofa, the room has a TV and aerial (German TV) and a private balcony. You will also of course have access to shared kitchen/bathroom/toilet. The living room however is also our bedroom (split room) so in the evenings we would like someone that is happy to retire to their room for TV etc... no "curfew time" just casual around the kids bedtime if we aren't doing anything together with you (we obviously want to get to know you too and will ask if you want to watch a movie/split a bottle of wine or whatever, you can join as you feel no problem)
To note we are meat eaters so if you are vegetarian this may bother you. It is important that you are non smoking (not even outside) thank you.

We are English/Spanish speakers and are happy to help our workawayer improve on either language. We have hosted School children on educational exchanges before and love showing them around and also discovering new places together. We love meeting new people and welcome anyone feeling the same way.

We live on the 10th floor (with elevator) next to Prater Park (10mins walk from Praterstern subway/tram station, 3 min walk to a Tram line 1 stop and a 15 minute walk to Wien mitte Mall and subway station)

It's Vienna! You can shop till you drop, see amazing architecture, visit countless museums/Palaces and join plenty of clubs/social events. I don't think getting bored here is an option 😉
