  Far North Queensland is a popular area for tourists from all over the world, but few get to experience it as a local. Come and join me in the quiet beachside suburb of Wonga Beach. One and a half hours drive north of Cairns, 20 minutes to the closest town, Mossman.
  Share my modest three-bedroom home with myself and two well behaved dogs, Jackie and Ruby. I have a large backyard vegetable garden.
  I am involved in the local community art gallery (classes available) and attend weekly belly dancing classes. We can explore swimming holes and rainforest hikes in the surrounding area together. Craft and produce markets in Mossman every Saturday.
  I am ex-pat Canadian who has lived in Australia for 20 years. In my younger years I travelled overseas doing volunteer farm work.
  Females or couples preferred.

  Experience this tourist hot spot from a local perspective. Camp fires at the beach, swim in pristine waterholes, eat fresh fish, wake up to tropical bird song. Learn about permaculture style gardening in the tropics, and positive re-enforcement/games-based dog training. Attend classes at the local art gallery or join me at belly dancing class.

  Duties include cleaning, gardening and short-term dog sitting. You will be working with minimal supervision, so you must be self-motivated.
  Flexible start/finish times. Minimum two days off each week.

  Unterkunft

  Private airconditioned room with double bed. Shared shower/toilet. No wifi.
  Casual meals. When I am home we can share a family style meal. Otherwise you will responsible for preparing your own meals with food provided. Can accommodate vegetarians.

  There is no public transport in this area. Your own vehicle would be useful for personal freedom/days off. I can pick-up/drop-off to Cairns or Port Douglas.
  
  Please note: I am an introvert. If it is essential for you to spend a lot of time being entertained by a chatty host this in NOT the place for you. My home is ideal for independent travelers who value a quiet space.
