  Hi! My name is Dagmara and I am an architecture and sustainability enthusiast. Together with my partner, we are helping my parents to return their house closer to its original Art Nouveau charm. We are located right next to the beautiful historic spa city of Karlovy Vary. There are endless opportunities for exploration here if you love nature, hikes, and architecture. The hardest renovation jobs have been done, but there is still plenty to do when it comes to furniture restoration, hanging shelves, lamps, lighting, curtain rods, assembling furniture, etc.
  
  My father is an experienced house builder, but at the age of 71, he needs a set of helping hands and ours aren't always enough. Especially since I am recovering from the consequences of last year's sickness. My family is not wealthy, despite owning a beautiful house, we are in an area with low wages and are therefore using self-help whenever we can. This includes scouting second-hand shops and marketplaces for old furniture. We love returning live to antique pieces and combining them with more modern finds. The house has a big garden overlooking the valley with plenty of gardening jobs, should you be interested in these too.
  
  I've lived in the Netherlands for 11 years and have a strong passion for international communities, and the exchange of ideas amongst cultures. We hope that we can make a mutually enriching exchange by giving you a beautiful apartment for your stay and helping us finish off another beautiful apartment right above. While sharing experiences, knowledge, passions, laughs, and good food. I'm also a founder of an online marketplace with local sustainable goods and have plenty of experience in the field of environmental issues and business innovation. I currently work part-time in the travel industry and will be happy to share any knowledge.

  We can share our home renovation and furniture restoration skills, and offer language exchange (English, Spanish, Czech) as well as cultural exchange. You can get an idea of what a house renovation as well as house operations entail, and if you have an interest in gardening, we would be happy to receive help there too, together with landscaping, although it's not a priority. We can share our knowledge on sustainability, both in the natural sciences, and in business and everyday life, and on life in the Netherlands or the Czech countryside.

  Unterkunft

  Half of the apartment is nearly finished and set up to allow a comfortable and independent stay for up to 2 people in a studio kind of setting. In the room, you will have a kitchenette, a double bed, a wardrobe, and a desk. The space is orientated to the back of the house and is super peaceful. The bathroom has a 160cm wide luxurious rain shower. Bedding and linens will be provided too, as well as basic toiletries.
