  Beschreibung

  Denise and Loren are self directed independent, gardeners, carpenters, hay farmers, forester and logger. We live on farm in the Blaeberry and it has become a great livestyle.
  Starting in April 2026 we are asking for help with our hay farm, a bit of brush clearing, odd job and some gardening. Primarily out doors when the weather is good. .Loren is also hoping for some help to put an addition on our cabin. We offer a private room and bathroom in our farm house in the Blaeberry near Golden. We have been hosting helpers since 2003 and to our knowledge our helpers have always had a good time, experienced the area and left as friends. And if you want practice with your English skills, we can make sure you have time to practice with us.

  We are your typical Canadian lifestylers. Denise is a Forester and Loren is the local Fire Warden in the summers and jack of all trades outside of fire season. We have 2 dogs and 2 horses. We like our helpers to enjoy the area and us. We grow some of our own food and cook both veggy and meaty. We enjoy helpers who want to learn new skills whether it is gardening, yard and trail maintenance, or helping with a new building project. Denise likes to encourage helpers to speak English and is always looking for opportunities to help them improve their language skills.

  We welcome couples and if you are over 25yrs with a valid drivers license there is a vehicle for use.

  We have a 3 bedroom farmhouse. Helpers stay in the farm house with us.
  
  Self serve breakfast. We provide lunch and dinner. If you have a food allergy we are happy to oblige.

  We are 15 minutes from Golden, so if you mind the quiet, a car would be helpful. However we go to Golden once or twice a week and make sure that you get to know the area while you are here.
