Join me in my dog shelter and help look after injured and vulnerable dogs in Danilovgrad, Montenegro

  Beschreibung

  We are a private shelter and an NGO in Danilovgrad, Montenegro active in the field of animal protection and adoption since 2017.
  We rescue sick, injured and otherwise vulnerable dogs in the greater Danilovgrad area (sometimes even further away), and provide them with veterinary care and medical attention they reguire.
  All dogs are tested for infectious diseases snd other life - threatening diseases.
  Currently , we have more than 40 adult dogs in our care , for which we provide food and water, adeguate shelter , veterinarian care and medicine in case of disease , pain or injuries, comfort in case they are distressed or have suffered a trauma , and all that in setting that is favorable for their organic development and happy life.
  I work full -time in animal welfare with my husband , who is suporting me full -time in all my day - to -day activities . We both live with the dogs at the shelter- it is our home.
  In the long- term, we would like to someone who can help us in the process of caring for the dogs.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Montenegro is a small country but with a lot of variety. Mountains, sea, plains, you can do a lot of things; hiking, water and outdoor sports, Montenegro has many national parks. At the shelter you will benefit from contact with the animals (dogs) and the nature.
  In our immediate vicinity we have the Zeta river and beautiful places for walking. In summer, the sea is only an hour's drive away.

  Arbeit

  We need the help of volunteers who would:
  Volunteers profile 1:
  1.Help in cleaning the area where the dogs stay
  2.In walking the dogs (nearby we have the Zeta river and beautiful places for walking).
  3.In cleaning the yard, so that the dogs have a clean place to play.
  4.Dog care (brushing etc.. )
  5.Teaching dogs to walk on a leash.
  6.If you're done with the dogs and have time, you'll need to help the other volunteer with the fence.
  
  Volunteers profile 2:
  Needed Volunteer who has experience and knowledge in building a concrete fence. I can pay some amount for you.

  We have two room for volunteer accommodation,
  
  Due to too many obligations, we are not always able to prepare food, but when we can, we will be happy to do so. We can buy food, but sometimes we need help preparing meals.
