I stayed at Gisela’s house for 4 weeks. I appreciate her to accept me on holiday season. I learned a lot from her , especially I enjoyed learning cooking. Everything’s new to me. She knows good recipes. My tasks aren’t difficult and I spent with her grandchildren few days. It was a. lot of fun! I’m happy to spend time with her. Thank you :)
I had a great stay at Gisela's home. She is very hospitable, gives great recommendations, and always makes sure that your well fed! I enjoyed learning about her past and hearing her stories. She included me on outings including going out to lunch with a group of her friends, which was very nice of her! Fourteen days was a perfect amount of time to
… read more see the surrounding area and enjoy the small surf-side town. The work was not difficult as it was mainly gardening, cooking, and organizing the home. Towards the end of the workaway, her daughter and grandchildren stayed for a few days and I also did a little bit of child care. Her daughter was very kind and generous. I'm very grateful for the experience. Overall, it was a great short stay that I would recommend!

I spent a bit over a week at Gisela's beautiful place & had very good time! The house is located just a few minutes away from the beach and has a lot of charme, as Gisela decorated it with many cultural treasures she has collected over the years. Her garden is also beautiful and I enjoyed working in it a lot. Apart from gardening I helped Gisela
… read more with household chores, cooking, tea & hot water bottle duty (;-P) and decluttering and reorganizing her wardrobe. Gisela has a lot of knowledge about the aboriginal culture and I learned quite a few things from her. The area invites for long walks, surfs and just a relaxed time. Jülide is a hard worker and thinks for herself. She does not need as much supervision as many and picks up on jobs that obviously need doing. She has a sense of humour and her English is very good.

I've lived at Giselas beautiful place for 6 weeks. the work I was doing was including house work (cleaning, re-organising, shopping) and a lot of gardening.
… read more Gisela is very grateful if you keep an easy eye open for such small tasks as getting rid of the garbage, brooming floors, making tea, taking her for a swim and she’s pretty flexible about arranging “working” times.

… read more quiet evenings with our blankets (cuppa in hand), watching a film in the comfy reclining chairs. Thanks for showing me the sights too! A trip to the chocolate factory & stopping on route home to watch the Roo's was a highlight! Memories I will cherish forever. Torquay is a stunning little place with endless surf spots & coastal paths to run / walk along, which I did most mornings! If I get back to Oz, I will of course return with vanilla ice cream (the good stuff) & frozen fruit 😋 Thanks for 2 amazing weeks Gisela.
