Beschreibung
We are a small hostel on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, near beautiful beaches and surrounded by jungle and wildlife. We run it with a lot of love and a family vibe. Our goal is to create a place where our guests can find a home away from home, even if it’s just for a few nights.
We’re looking for someone to help us with some reception hours, attending to guest questions and requests. Interactions with travelers are fun and dynamic. Additionally, we need help with the maintenance of our garden to keep it looking beautiful, as well as cleaning some areas of the hostel.
We are also looking for a maintenance volunteer to take care of the garden and assist with minor repairs and general upkeep of the hostel. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and helping maintain a welcoming and well-kept space.
We have a cat who loves cuddles, and surely enjoy your company.
We are also open to volunteers’ suggestions and help with any new projects that come up, always with a smile and positive spirit.
Volunteers must be able to communicate in both English and Spanish (basic level is fine).

The Caribbean side of Costa Rica is a stunning destination, rich in wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, frogs, toucans, and more. It boasts beautiful clear-water beaches, a vibrant Afro-Caribbean culture, and is close to several national parks where you can experience the region’s incredible biodiversity. The area also offers a variety of activities such as surfing, snorkeling, and hiking, making it perfect for adventure lovers.
At our hostel, we maintain a warm, family-like atmosphere where volunteers and guests feel at home. We occasionally gather to share experiences, enjoy good company, and make the most of our time in this amazing place. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to explore the area, immerse yourself in the local culture, practice the language, and connect with travelers from all over the world.
Arbeit
Reception Duties: Managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling bicycle rentals, providing information about the area, and ensuring common spaces remain clean and organized. You will also assist guests with their questions and requests, including details about local tours and services. Friendly and engaging interactions with travelers are a key part of the role.
Maintenance Duties: Helping to keep the garden well-maintained and assisting with general upkeep around the hostel to ensure a pleasant environment for everyone.
We are looking for someone responsible, proactive, and who enjoys interacting with people from all over the world. Speaking English is optional but a plus. A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to our welcoming and relaxed atmosphere are essential!

Cocles Beach is located just 500 meters from the hostel. It is a beautiful Caribbean beach lined with palm trees and rich in wildlife.
It is also the local surfing spot, where you can take surf lessons, rent a board, or try paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking.
Along the coast, you’ll find a variety of beaches, each with its own unique vibe and scenery. Exploring the area by bike is a great way to move from one beach to another and take in the stunning surroundings.
Waterfalls, local tribes, diverse wildlife, and a vibrant Caribbean culture make this place truly magical.
