Beschreibung
We are an association handling an isolated group of houses, a small village that was abandoned. We are restoring the houses. We are naturopaths and are working as a health center, helping people to re-establish a difficult health situation.
We provide our guests with a health program, vegetarian food, massage, healthy activities and conferences. Our group is composed by at least 4 people. Our center is "open" and works with guests from mid April to 30th October, and from 23rd December to 11th January. We are also constantly, working as carpenters, builders, farmers... and taking care of our animals (chicken, dogs, cats) . The busiest months are usually June, July and September.
The volunteers should have some skill in manual works or therapies. They should schedule their time for at least 3 weeks stay, being ready to do any kind of task, as in a normal house or farm or wellness center.
The place is isolated, difficult to reach with public transportation and faraway from the "consumistic" society.
We are at 850m altitude, the weather might be warm or cold in any period of the year.

Travellers will improve the italian language, meet interesting people and therapists, learn about health, food and therapies, as well as possibly receive some relaxing treatments.
We are constantly in need for people able (and skilled) to do any kind of practical and technical maintenance works (building, chopping wood, growing vegetables, etc....)
Arbeit
Our place is like a little isolated village, any kind of help is needed and useful, possibly with experienced and skilled people. As we are also like a small clinic, any skill in alternative therapies (massage, reflexology, coaching,...) is welcome.
A basic knowledge of Italian is highly appreciated.

Unterkunft
The helper has to be flexible: the accomodation can vary from a single room to a place in a camper or in a dormitory, according to the availability of the moment.
Note that we are far away (4,5 km by foot or 7,5 km by car) from the closest city (the very small Badia Tedalda). Our location is excellent for landscape, walking or cycling and absolutely not for shopping;. It is never too warm as we are at 860m altitude.
The public transportation is quite insufficient in our area.
Smoking is allowed only out of the buildings.

The workawayworkers can practice and learn many different types of works, they can practice italian and take vantage of the marvelous and wild nature. When we have our "health guests", they will meet many interesting people and become acquainted with alternative therapies. Surely they will learn some veetarian cooking.
We are on the extreme east of Tuscany at the crossing of different regions: Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and Marche; therefore an "independently motorized worker" can reach easily the Rimini beaches or the cities of SanMarino, Arezzo, Assisi, Urbino,...
From the 22nd April to 20th October as well as from 25th December to 12th January of each year, we are "open for public". The presence of workawayers with skills in therapies or entertainment (music, theater, cooking,...) is welcome, possibly with a basic knowledge of Italian; in exchange we can provide some healthcare. We need to rebuild some stone and bricks walls, we need to cut the wood for the next winter, we need to prepare the ground for our vegetables; experience is highly appreciated. Volunteers with skills in therapies can participate in our healing programs.
We are operating till end of October. September is usually a very busy month.
During the whole period, we could also need to translate health books into English or other languages and for such task a true and good knowledge of your original language and a basic knowledge of Italian is needed.
Public transportation can bring you to Badia Tedalda from West (quite easy through Arezzo and Sansepolcro) or from East (through Rimini, Novafeltria and not easily till Badia Tedalda). Then from Badia to us, we will come and collect upon a phone contact).

Fabricio described himself perfecly: he is eager to learn, loves spiritual practices, was interested in experiencing our health techniques. He has no particular skill in technical works but he learns quickly. Now he certainly is an expert in starting the fires of wood stoves.
