¡¡Hola Workawayers!! I’m Argentinian and I'm currently working for the University of Salamanca in Kathamandu, Nepal: "ELE USAL Nepal". The school is very new; it opened this year, 2025, so we’re still facing many challenges. I’m new here too, just two months in the school & in Nepal, and I’m coordinating the academic area.
I’m also a Spanish teacher. I spent many years teaching in New Zealand, completed a Master’s in Spanish language, and I’m finishing another in Literature. I love my culture and enjoy sharing it with others through language learning, cultural events, food, music, videos, and more.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

The school is located inside Kathmandu’s Ring Road, in the charming town of Dhumbarahi. Nearby is Boudha (outside the ring), rich in Buddhist and Tibetan culture. You’ll find traditional Tibetan dances performed in cozy cafés and bars, as well as unique farmer markets, and the famous Boudhanath Stupa temple. The area is surrounded by local shops, cafés, and restaurants. It’s a great place to wander through narrow streets, soak up the Buddhist atmosphere, and see Tibetan and Buddhist monks throughout the day.
The school is also close to the hills, where hilltop temples feature beautiful gardens, art, and sculptures. As you explore, you’ll come across forests, parks, and amazing views of the city.
Thamel, in the central area, is also nearby, just about 15 minutes by car or bike. You can book a bike or car (similar to Uber) and are very affordable, around 80 rupees, the bike .Arbeit
The help : We’re looking for additional native Spanish teachers.
We currently have one teacher from Spain covering levels B1 and B2. I’m also teaching some courses in addition to coordinating the academic area.
However, we still need support for:
- Beginner level (A1) courses, either at the institute and/or online for A1 or A2. The in-person courses at the institute run for 3 hours per session from Monday to Friday.
- A school group of 13 adolescent students, level A1: classes are in the morning, 50 minutes from Tuesday to Thursday, and on Fridays there are two 50 minute lessons focused on entertainment Spanish, cultural videos, festivals, celebrations and insights into everyday life across Hispanic America.
Total hours: 25 per week, with an expected schedule of about 4 hours per day.
Course durations:
A1: 1 month
A2: 3 months
Because of this schedule, we’re looking for teachers who can commit for at least 5 months.
Visa support: The school will provide visa assistance for the duration of this period.
In addition, the school provides a stipend of €100 per month, paid in rupees, and also free accommodation and meals for your part-time collaboration.
Then if you enjoy your time at the school and would like to stay longer, and if we are satisfied with your work, we would welcome teachers who wish to extend their stay. In that case, we will offer a formal contract, visa support, and a higher monthly payment, all including accommodation and meals.Sprachen

You’ll have your own private bedroom with a desk, air conditioning, a bathroom, and lovely views. Teacher rooms are on the second floor of the institute, where there’s also a big terrace, a cozy spot to hang out, have a drink, and chat with others.
All meals are included. The kitchen is on the first floor, and we have a wonderful cook and cleaner from Monday to Friday. She prepares a delicious lunch. For dinner, you can help yourself and cook with the ingredients available. We usually have plenty of vegetables (potatoes, tomatoes, onions, carrots, peppers), lots of rice, spaghetti, eggs, cheese, beans, lentils, mushrooms, olives, and corn—we cook with olive oil. Sometimes there’s frozen chicken, sausage, tuna, and more.
For breakfast, you’ll find cereals, a variety of fruits (usually apples, bananas, mandarins), cookies, bread, honey, peanut butter, jam, tea, coffee, cow’s milk, soy milk, etc.Was noch ...
