Criss spend one and a half months with me during winter. My first workawayer in winter. 😀 He was part time helping me and part time working as a digital nomad.
We had a good time together. And I enjoyed getting to know him while he was here.

I have been lucky to visit Andreas at the Light Festival in Copenhagen. We stayed in tiny homes that were pretty snug and had to conserve the solar-collected energy for the power tools. There is no Wifi on the property like I had thought, so we're pretty unplugged, which was probably good for us in all honesty. The other volunteers graciously gave me my own shed as I was the only female of the 3, and one of them even provided gourmet cooking for us, multiple times a day. Therefore, I mostly took the role as kitchen cleanup during my time in the garden, though I also helped harvest some berries and get rid of crop-destroying weeds & slugs. Other projects going on while I was there included building a fence, creating a workbench, and scrubbing the walls near the creek. The work was pretty leisure and on your own time, but we typically worked mid/late morning to afternoon. Then, there was always a lovely guest or two coming over for coffee and cake midday, and then we would make dinner and wind down for the evening with some fireside chats.
I came down with a sinus infection from my previous travel (not caught while in Denmark), and Andreas kindly assured me to take it easy. He even took us out to the beach one day instead of working, as well as taking us to Copenhagen for an evening in the city. I am very grateful to have met Andreas and the other volunteers, as they made my Denmark experience truly remarkable and one of a kind, even though it was such a short stop.Vom Host für Workawayer (Krista)

Tessa is a fun and totally cool person and a great artist. I had the joy of hosting her and her friend Nils in September. My stay with Andreas, was my very first Workaway experience, and it's been a blast. It couldn't have been better. I was warmly welcomed and accepted from day 1 and had a wonderful time in Hillerød, especially in the little garden paradise, Andreas calls his second home. Jakob stayed with me for two weeks, and I could not have been more happy with him or his work. He has such a gentle and friendly nature and would always be willing to help with whatever project I presented him with.
