  Hi,
  
  I’m Wendy and I would love to host a couple or an energetic guest to help me complete some odd jobs around the house and in my garden.
  
  I recently moved to Long Jetty. I live only 5 minutes walk from Tuggerah Lake and 30 minutes walk to Toowoon Bay. There is also a bus stop only metres from my house, which is on a main road. There is a major shopping centre, Bateau Bay, only 10 minutes drive from here. There are many coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance to me. I am also 25 minutes walk to The Entrance, Central Coast. I have several spare guest rooms in which to stay.
  
  I have hosted before and found it to be a very enjoyable experience. I am 60 and find that I am unable to manage work that involves heavy lifting by myself. I have a garage that is full of heavy things, that I need to sort out since I moved here several weeks ago, and create storage on the adjoining bookshelves. I will then be able to move some of the things that are in the house, into the garage for storage as well. Also a general tidy up. This may take a couple of days to a week.
  
  I also have lots of work to do in my garden. Some of the drains need to be cleaned out, as they are full of dirt. I need to weed the garden beds and the side of the house.
  
  I will be getting the help of a builder to remove some of the old concrete that is in the garden . Once that is done, I will cover most of the garden with cardboard and forest mulch, and will plant some natives, including native grasses.
  
  If you are a couple or an active, fit single guest, then I think this will suit you. We can play it by ear in terms of compatibility. I am anticipating I will require from 1 week up to 3 weeks of work, 4-5 hours per day for 5 days each week. These hours can be flexible, dependent on the work done, the hours put in each day etc. For example, you might work more hours for several days, and then receive a longer period of days off.
  
  Applying for alternative work will only be allowed after you have completed your allocated hours with me. If you find work after hours, that's fine. I will be happy for you and you will be able to leave any time, provided you have completed the hours stipulated with me first. However, you will need to notify the employee that you have commitments with me first, before accepting any other work.
  
  I have internet which you would be welcome to use. I also have a tv, but not with subscriptions. I do a lot of walking and would try to give you space. You are also welcome to do some walks with me, especially when I go with groups, with many of the walkers visiting from overseas. I have a swimming pool and a pergola in which to relax during your free time. I may require that you clean it at times. I find this quite relaxing when I am not rushed.
  
  In terms of cooking, I am happy to provide food, and cook for you on the days that you work. I will also have food available for you to prepare yourself, on the other days. I provide basic, healthy food, like vegetables and meat, or an alternative if you are vegetarian, cereal and milk, tasty family cheese, salads etc. But I don't provide more expensive foods like orange juice, soft drinks, gourmet food, salmon (except occasionally, if I am preparing it). I have an extra fridge if you would like to buy additional foods, but I provide more than enough. I'm happy for you to cook for us all, as well, if you have some favourite dishes which you like to share.
  
  I love meeting people and it would be a pleasure to host those who are willing to provide some assistance for me, to help improve the overall ambiance of my garden. Therefore, some general maintenance experience would be an asset to me. I am happy to accommodate individuals who are motivated to try new things and have confidence with basic electric tools and a screwdriver. I'm also happy to receive some inspirational ideas.

  This is a very convenient area to live in with little crime and a welcoming community. There are coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance and buses are also closeby. I have parking for vehicles if you have one.I have found eating together enables opportunities to talk about our own experiences and culture.

  Arbeit

  The primary task that is presently required is to help me to clean out the garage, and place all my items in an orderly manner on the shelves, with my assistance. There may be some help required around the garden, such as weeding and planting, mulching and creating pavers, and possibly a garden bed. I also require some assistance with blinds in my pergola, and staining etc.

  I live in a large house, which includes two guest rooms +. These presently have a double bed, in each room. You may have your own bathroom, depending on which guest room you accommodate, and we would share the kitchen. There are two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs. I can provide meals on the days that work is being carried out, and food during your stay. You are also welcome to cook for yourselves. I will purchase much of the food for you. There is quite a large kitchen with all the cooking utensils you might require. The living space is very large, with a pergola outside, and a swimming pool, at the back of the garden. We will all need to make an effort to keep the house neat and tidy. All the bedding and towels are provided. I have access to a washing machine and a clothesline. I have one tv, so you might want to use your own computer for accessing tv. I live by myself, so you will have down time to yourselves.

  This house is on a busy street, so it can be noisy with traffic near your guest room. For me, it doesn't worry me. Out the back is very peaceful near the pool. It is a touristy, yet safe place to visit.

  I have space at the front of the house, in my driveway, and it is possible for guests to utilise my electricity. You will most likely wish to use the guest room.
