  Hi,
  
  I’m Wendy and I would love to host a couple or an energetic guest to help me complete some final odd jobs around the house and my garden.
  
  I moved to Wishart, Brisbane several years ago and live in a 3 bedroom home. I live only 5 minutes walk from a bus stop and live close to a major shopping centre. There are also many coffee shops in walking distance to me. I have a spare guest room in which you could stay.
  
  I have hosted before and found it to be a very enjoyable experience. I am 60 and find that I am unable to manage work that involves heavy lifting by myself. I recently had a shed put in and a patio, and have had the roof painted with solar panels, so I have made major improvements. I have also painted most of the house, including the bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen and living space, but still have a few odd jobs to paint.
  
  I have been doing lots of work in my garden. I have planted many natives and recently completed the fence. Now I am focusing on the house. However, I have just a small number of plants to replace and need a small garden bed installed, plus some aesthetic painting of some of the garden beds.
  
  I do need some packages moved in the shed, and some general tidying up.
  
  If you are a couple or an active, fit guest, then I think this will suit you. We can play it by ear in terms of compatibility and length of stay. I will most likely be about 3 weeks. I have internet which you would be welcome to use. I also have a tv, but not with subscriptions. I do a lot of walking and would try to give you space. You are also welcome to do some walks with me, especially when I go with groups, with many of the walkers visiting from overseas. I sometimes go camping on weekends.
  
  I love meeting people and it would be a pleasure to host those who are willing to provide some assistance for me, to help improve the overall ambiance of my house, and some general maintenance experience would be an asset to me. I am happy to accommodate individuals who are motivated to try new things and have confidence with basic electric tools and a screwdriver.

  This is a very convenient area to live in with little crime and a welcoming community. There are coffee shops in walking distance and buses are also closeby. Wishart is only about 25 minutes from the city. I have parking for vehicles if you have one.I have found eating together enables opportunities to talk about our own experiences and culture.

  Arbeit

  The primary task that is presently required is to help me to paint small sections of the house, as most of the house is now painted. I need to replace some locks and hinges. There may be a limited amount of work required around the garden, such as a small amount of weeding and replacing several plants, as the mulch and paths have been laid in the garden, and it is now relatively low maintenance. I have planted most of the natives and already the butterflies are enjoying them. I'm very excited about what this will look like once completed in the Spring. It has been a fulfilling project.

  I live in a three bedroom house, which includes a guest room. This presently has a double bunk bed, with a single bed on the top. I will need someone to help me to remove the single bunk bed at the top, so that I can move it into the 2nd bedroom. The bathroom and kitchen would be shared with me. There is an adjoining toilet. I can provide meals on the days that work is being done and food. You are also welcome to cook for yourselves. I will purchase much of the food for you. There is quite a large kitchen with all the cooking utensils you might require. The living space is small, but we will be able to have access to the patio overlooking the garden. I will require some assistance in moving the table and chairs back onto the patio, as it was recently tiled. We will all need to make an effort to keep the house neat and tidy. All the bedding and towels are provided. I have access to a washing machine and a clothesline - (hoist) I live by myself, so, although it is a small house, you will have down time to yourselves.

  Wishart is very convenient with restaurants and places to walk to nearby. Buses are only a 2 minute walk from my place and you can easily travel to the city of Brisbane or the nearby shopping centre. (Buses trips are only 50 cents each in Brisbane.) There are coffee shops walking distance from here and gyms nearby. It is a quiet and safe place to visit.

  I have space in my driveway, and it is possible for guests to utilise my electricity. This can only be for short periods of time as I will need to park my car on the road, which would be quite inconvenient for me, but I am happy to consider this for a few weeks.
