Help me care for my property and a forest in Aquitaine, France

  Beschreibung

  I have recently inherited a large wooded property in the South West of France. It has been badly maintained for many years, and needs some TLC.
  The property needs clearing, wood needs stacking, firewood split, edges need trimming..
  I recently broke my shoulder and am asking for help hauling things and chopping wood.
  
  I am a visual artist and work in my studio making monumental welded steel sculptures, paintings and drawings.
  
  I would love to welcome you in my home, serve you some home cooked meals (with a focus on fresh veggies), lend you my bikes and give you some tips for exploring the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Coast (both destinations about an hour's drive away). I can give you jobs that suit your interests, then on your free time you can have fun in the beautiful Bearnaise countryside!

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  You will be able to explore Bearn in all its glory...sweet little villages, views of the Pyrenees...and you will be on the doorstep of the mountains and also the ocean. Use of my personal bikes can be arranged, and I can take you out to explore the quiet country roads around our home.

  Arbeit

  I really need someone who likes working with wood. Is that person you?
  Creating cinder block walls with concrete would be a handy skill to add.
  Brush cutting and clearing land is one of the jibs that need doing.
  
  You can stay in a small cabin in the woods. I could really use independent workers.
  
  I especially need people with general know how for work on a large property with trees and bushes, and who can help with labour on the property.
  
  I can cook you some amazing meals! We can have fun.

  Unterkunft

  I can offer a cute rustic cabin. There is washroom facilities and a fridge and an outdoor kitchen to be used as well with the cabin not too far away.
  You will though have your own digs for the duration of your stay. I prefer that helpers stay for a maximum of one week.

  Was noch ...

  On your time off you can catch a bus, train, ride share or drive to the Pyrenees Mountains for a glorious hike, or go to Spain for a day trip or weekend stay, or just pop over to the Atlantic Coast and visit surf spots or walk the dunes.
  There are some small villages nearby where you can bike to in under 15 minutes and buy bread and groceries, post a letter, or go to the bank and see the sites. There is a sizable city about 30 minutes away by car where you can find anything you need. You can get there by bike, or you can catch local bus transport.
  For the artistically inclined, I can show you great spots to paint in nature, and am also an avid mushroom hunter and can share some knowledge with you.
  I like getting up and working by 8-9am, working in the morning and then after lunch a bit more, then having some downtime and enjoying some kind of sport. I am usually working on an art project so then you can just enjoy some chill out time in the hammock. It is up to you to choose your time for work, just communicate your needs and I will be flexible.
