  Beschreibung

  For our Husky Farm with around 50 dogs, one Saint Bernhard and four holiday homes we are looking for a responsible volunteers who take care of the dogs, house, yard and the daily farm work, in exchange for accommodation and food.
  
  Our company offers sled dog tours to tourists from all over the world and you help us to make it a unique experience for our guests.
  
  We live on a remote property, 20km outside Villarrica in Araucania region of Chile. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not decisive. A driver's license is recommendable.
  
  Please also note that our farm is located on the country side with no next door neighbors. People coming from cities easily say that we are "in the middle of nowhere". If you are not in balance with yourself, it might be too isolated for you.

  You can experience remote life on a husky farm in the south of Chile.

  Arbeit

  The dogs have to be fed every day, the kennels to be cleaned. The cottages have to be maintained and cleaned, guests have to be welcomed.
  Beside the dogs your tasks might include cutting and chopping firewood, or general maintenance work.
  
  Especially important for us is your physical fitness. We move daily in challenging terrain. The fitter you are, the more you can enjoy your time here.
  
  We expect you to work responsibly, independently and prudently.
  Independent thinking and acting is required, experience with farm work would be an advantage.
  
  The area of responsibility lies with the care and supervision of the dogs and the property. You will not have a lot of time to explore the surroundings or to be absent for a long time, the care of the dogs requires constant presence. If time permits, of course you can have a day off. Especially in the winter season, which is our main season, we work as much as we can.
  
  You can enjoy the beautiful and quiet nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
  
  The winter season is a very special time here on the farm. There are long days, short nights, a lot of work. But also many dogs, boundless nature, a smoking volcano and interesting guests from all over the world.

  Pls be aware that sometimes people have wrong expectations. We are not offering vacations for free or time to hang out, but an unforgettable experience for everybody who is willed to join and enrich our team!
  
  Please let us know if you have more questions. We want to clarify everything as good as possible before you say yes.
  Competition for places here is pretty tough and we are generally full months in advance, although we do get last-minute
  openings from time to time. Once you are accepted, that spot will be taken away from everyone else who would love to have come - please think seriously before applying and be honest with yourself if you are able and willed to fulfil the
  above mentioned tasks.
