Beschreibung
I am a single mom with a 12 year old son living at the foot of the sierra in Collado Villalba. I purchased a home this past February in a quiet area surrounded by nature and all of the hiking one could dream of. It's a two story chalet with a moderately sized garden, complete with fruit trees and flowers. I am slowly but surely renovating, painting and putting lots of love into the property, but it is a lot of work for one person. I'm in need of some helping hands!

You'll get the full experience of living in a Spanish pueblo, in a quiet, safe area. We speak fluent Spanish and English, and we're happy to practice your Spanish with you!

Specifically, I'm looking for someone that is great with gardening (pulling weeds, preparing the soil for next growing season, help around the house (it could just be cleaning once per week) and general maintenance (like regrouting tile, repainting and cleaning).

I love learning languages! I am a native English speaker and after years of living in Spain, my son and I are fluent in Spanish. We speak a mix of both languages at home. I am currently exploring French and Italian with Duolingo but of course I can only say a few phrases so far.

Free room (your own bedroom), communal access to all common areas of the house (including 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room/sofa/tv complete with Amazon Fire Stick, the dining room, and of course the garden (which has chairs for lounging in the sun and a hammock).

Plenty of hiking, horseback riding, 5 minute walk from the bus that will bring you directly into town or Madrid center, walking and/or bus distance from restaurants and nightlife.

We have high speed internet connection perfect for streaming services, virtual meetings, etc. The house has plenty of comfy places to relax or work and lots of natural light. My dog Duke will be home to snuggle and keep you company during the day. My son and I get home in the afternoon during the week, between 3:45pm and 5:15pm. We are very open to eating dinner and dessert together in the evenings.
