  Beschreibung

  We run a non-profit educational association, based in Chioggia, a charming seaside town near Venice.
  
  Our aim is to create a welcoming and inspiring place where children, teenagers and adults can experience English in a natural and engaging way. We believe that learning a language is not only about studying grammar, but also about communicating, discovering other cultures and building meaningful connections.
  
  We organise English activities for different age groups, including playful sessions for young children, conversation activities, creative workshops and cultural events. Our approach is informal, interactive and focused on real-life communication.
  
  We are looking for enthusiastic English speakers who would enjoy becoming part of our small community and contributing to the cultural side of the project. Depending on their interests and experience, Workawayers may help us prepare games and creative activities, take part in conversation sessions, share traditions from their home country, assist during workshops and help us create a stimulating English-speaking environment.

  Was ist das?
• 

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Cultural exchange is at the heart of our project. Workawayers will become part of our small and friendly team and will have many opportunities to meet local families, children, teachers and other people involved in the association.
  
  We would be happy to introduce them to everyday Italian life and to the traditions of Chioggia and the Venetian lagoon. Depending on the time of year, they may join us for informal gatherings, local events, walks around the town or other social activities with our team and community.
  
  We can share our experience in organising educational activities, working with different age groups and developing a new non-profit project. We can also help Workawayers practise Italian and learn more about Italian culture, family life and our local area.
  
  In return, we hope to learn about their culture, traditions and way of life. We are particularly interested in discovering new games, songs, stories and educational approaches from other countries. We believe that every Workawayer can bring something unique and help our students experience English as a living language connected to real people and cultures.

  Arbeit

  Workawayers will join us in planning and carrying out engaging English activities for children, teenagers and adults. They may help prepare games, songs, stories, creative workshops and conversation activities, according to their interests and experience.
  
  The activities may include playing and speaking English with children, supporting small conversation groups, helping prepare teaching materials and taking part in special events or themed workshops.
  
  This will also be an opportunity to exchange skills. Workawayers can gain experience in educational activities and informal language teaching, while sharing their language, culture, creativity and personal interests with us. We are happy to help them learn some Italian and discover more about everyday life and local culture in Chioggia.
  
  We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, proactive and comfortable interacting with children. Patience, creativity and a positive attitude are more important than formal teaching qualifications, although previous experience in education or working with children would be very welcome.

  Unterkunft

  We provide accommodation in a clean and comfortable apartment, shared with no more than one other Workawayer. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, so Workawayers can prepare their own meals independently.
  
  Meals are not provided directly, but we offer pocket money to help cover the cost of groceries and everyday food expenses. Further details about the accommodation and food allowance will be agreed before arrival.

  Chioggia is a lively seaside town with canals, colourful streets, local markets and a beautiful historic centre. In their free time, Workawayers can explore the town, relax on the beach in Sottomarina, cycle along the lagoon, enjoy local cafés and restaurants or visit nearby places. Venice and Padua can also be reached by public transport, making Chioggia a good base for discovering the Veneto region.
  
  Most everyday places can be reached on foot or by bicycle, and local buses connect Chioggia and Sottomarina with the surrounding area. We will be happy to give Workawayers practical advice about transport and suggest places to visit during their stay.
  
  Workawayers will live independently in the apartment and are expected to treat it as their own home: keeping shared areas clean and tidy, respecting the other person living there and avoiding excessive noise, especially at night. We value open communication, mutual respect and a friendly, responsible atmosphere.
