  Beschreibung

  We are a nonprofit summer camp, music festival, and event center. We are a cooperative and are focused on environmental and social justice. We care about peace, social justice, environmental stewardship, and cooperation.
  
  There are lots of cultural events here over the year. We have many socially justice minded groups that utilize our space and we also put on our own programming. Our workaway friends would be absolutely welcome to participate in our programming. We have events for other cooperatives, Spanish Immersion weekends, a apple cider festival, and lots of other things.
  
  We care for our large organic garden, do trail maintenance, take care of our several wood stoves, and enjoy our sauna.
  
  Our place is unique due to our 80 years of history as a co-op and folk school. Come participate in our history!

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Come learn about co-operative work environments! We have events every weekend. Sometimes we have parties, work-bees, and social justice symposiums. You can learn a lot from people that have been at this co-op for 70+ years. You can learn a lot from kids who come to camp here. We are excited to host workaway friends and learn from you as well.
  
  This is a really cool place! Come join us!

  Arbeit

  Right now we're gearing up for summer camp! We need camp counselors, ilfe guards, kitchen staff, and more!
  
  Grounds:
  General upkeep of 300 acres. Building things, fixing things, helping with work projects.
  
  Garden/Farm:
  Garden management and help of large garden. Planting, weeding, planning, watering, helping with other volunteers.
  
  Team:
  We are seeking a person with a passion for good healthy food, experience preparing meals for team. We cook local, organic food for a variety of dietary restrictions.
  
  Short term, long term available. We have so many options, talk to us and we'll see what we can make work for you.

  Unterkunft

  A variety of options are available and this is flexible based on the person's requests. Many cabins are available. Some have electric heat and some have wood stoves. We have rustic cabins and more modern cabins. We have dorm style rooms for large groups. We also have a bed and breakfast style building. You can also camp or bring your RV or trailer. We also have some rooms in houses. We can accommodate you based on your needs and based on what we have going on at the time.

  We are between Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Battle Creek which have a variety of cultural events. We are also not far from Lake Michigan. We have a very good music scene and endless natural areas.
