Valentina and Emanuele are amongst the nicest and sweetest person you can meet, also very resourceful and respectful.
They have helped a lot inside and outside the house (cleaning, weeding, watering, painting, sanding, cooking... they are able to do anything really!!), they are hardworking and well organized either as a team or independently.

They both have unique and complementary personalities. We shared all meals and lots of stories on a variety of subject.
Definitely a winning team for whoever has the chance to host them in the future!!
With these few words we won't be able to riassume how great has been to spend our time (10 days) with Julien and his animals (Hi Caramel!!).
He is really a kind, easy going and sociable person and he managed to make us feel at home from the first day.

He was also really flexible about meals times, work to do and when.
Furthermore we really appreciated that Julien was super available in giving us information about what to visit nearby and the local attractions (sometimes we went together and we had a lot of fun :) ).
About the work for the most part it was outside: gardening, cutting branches, then levigating painting and putting legs to a table, we also moved the goats to their "Summer camp field". On the other hand the inside work was to put panels for insulating purposes.
For all these works Julien, at first, explained how to do it and for some of them he collaborated with us.
We will remember this beautiful experience and keep it in our hearts.
Thank you again Julien, we learned a lot from your lifestyle and we won't forget about it <3,

Ben is a genuine and easy-going young man that I had a great pleasure hosting during a few weeks in spring (although it felt more like winter !).
He is always eager to discover things related to france and french culture, and he speaks french almost perfectly (not a small thing !), as well as a few other more "exotic" languages.

He has lots of experience with landscaping, mowing grass and similar things in the garden.

Just like all the other reviews, I also had an excellent time at Julien's workaway. He is generous with his time and drove me to see some beautiful spots like Cordes-sur-Ciel and Penne. I enjoyed meeting his goats and new chickens, as well as his charming cat Raul! He is a good cook and prepared some seriously delicious meals too. Julien speaks

The work was very fair and mostly consisted of painting inside the house and managing the garden outside - Julien always makes himself available to help and joins in a lot of the time anyway. On the last night, he kindly arranged for the Northern Lights to appear in the sky above Najac, which was an astonishing trick and I don't know how he did it!

Lucas has been very flexible in adapting to the environment at his arrival (my car had broken down, the main room was busy, etc..) and paired very well to the small team we had set-up with Berta, so eventually all came out really great !!
I sincerely hope you can get the chance to meet Lucas, and only regret that he did not stay longer with us !

le travail n'est pas trop dur; l'ambiance de travail était toujours super chouette. nous (Julien, moi et Berta, une autre fille de workaway) travaillions surtout dans le jardin: le potager, prendre soin des chèvres (qui s'échappent occasionnellement:)), construire ou détruire des escaliers et des murs... chaque jour avait des surprises pour nous!
à côté du travail, nous avions beaucoup de temps pour découvrir l'endroit; Julien montrait nous aussi ses places favorites et nous avons rencontré ses voisins très sympa.
enfin, comme j'ai dit: incroyable. si tu veux faire quelque chose chouette dans la vie - une expérience qui te permets d'apprécier la vie - c'est facile: rends visite à Julien (et son chat mignon Raül).

I stayed with Julien for just a week...it was amazing, really. 5 stars are not an exaggeration, it was an unforgettable experience!
Julien is really nice and sincerely, he wants you to be comfortable at his place and that everyone can do what they want to do. for me it was the first experience with workaway and it will certainly not be my last.
the work is not too hard; the working atmosphere was always great. we (Julien, me and Berta, another workaway girl) mostly worked in the garden: the vegetable garden, taking care of the goats (which occasionally escape :)), building or destroying stairs and walls... every day had surprises for us!
besides of the work, we had plenty of time to discover the place; Julien also showed us his favorite places and we met his very nice neighbours.
finally, as I said: amazing. if you want to do something nice in life - an experience that allows you to enjoy life - it's easy: visit Julien (and his cute cat Raül).

She was very easy to accommodate, was always very helpful and respectful in and around the house. Always interested in going around and seeing new things, she is a great company for wandering around but she can also be quite independent when I needed to have some time aside for office work.

This was my first Workaway experience, and from the very beginning it was a great one. Julien is a wonderful host - easy to talk with, extremely generous, genuinely cares about your experience, and works hard to make sure you have a great time! I felt right at home.

… read more and renovations, guided by Julien, and the variety was fun. My room was very comfortable - and included not only a breathtaking view, but also a friendly wandering cat known as Raoul. As mentioned in previous comments, Julien is also an excellent cook who prioritizes local and sustainably grown food, so I loved watching him turn seasonal veggies into delicious meals.
Finally, I can't leave feedback without mentioning all the places Julien brought me to see! If a neighbouring town had a market, vide-grenier, or other event going on he would not only invite me along, but would be my personal tour guide in exploring the beautiful area!

… read more Waking up to the sunrise and church bells ringing was so special and it really felt like being in the heart of France with views all the way to the Pyrenees. Julien had many interesting tasks to do and it was a pleasure to see some progress being made little by little. We went to markets and other stunning places and it was a very special thing to be included in an electric bike tour of some of the local food producers. There were so many great moments that I cannot list everything but I can say that it was such a great experience and built upon the first workaway I did in the days before. It was also wonderful that Julien and Elena speak fluent Spanish as well as French (and English) so great to practice.
