  Beschreibung

  I am a middle aged woman living on the country side on a small farm (1,6 hectares) and my two cats. I have 2 grown up kids who are not living at home anymore. My neighbours are having sheep on my farms pasture. I like cats, reading books and to write books, hiking in nice nature areas and to the top of mountains, learn about nature and other cultures.
  
  I am fluent in Swedish (mother tongue), English and German. Speak a little Spanish and French. I love my local area because it is a small-scale agricultural landscape, near a big lake and surrounded by forests suitable for mushroom picking in the autumn. It is only about 10 km to the ocean.
  
  It is also very close to a breathtaking cultural area which was once the bottom of the sea. It is easy to go to the city of Göteborg (Gothenburg) to feel the rhythm of the city or for cultural events. My relatives and friends also live close by.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  I will be happy to practice Swedish with you, tell you all about Swedish culture and show you the natural and cultural heritage areas that are close by or go hiking with you in the surroundings if you want to. I will try to answer all your questions about this and that.
  
  You are welcome to come with me to visit my relatives and friends or join me when I am helping homeless cats through the NGO. I am an educated engineer with a lot of interest in nature. I am running an environmental consultant firm.

  Arbeit

  I intend to raise the biological diversity on my small little hobby farm (only 1,6 hectares) and live more sustainable through gardening. The chores that I need help with during 2026 is for instance:
  
  - Gardening: to plant some more fruit trees or nut trees, plant vegetables and do weeding in the garden (I grow some berry bushes, flowers, fruit trees and vegetables for my own use), take care of the very small harvest and do weeding. Improve the fence of the gardening area. It is not a very big garden.
  
  - House maintenance, like painting the white stripes of the house and the barn, cleaning up in the barn (sweep the floor, clean the windows), cut firewood, mow and clear the small meadow areas. The house and the barn are built in 2018 so it is all very fresh).
  
  I am engaged in an NGO that helps homeless cats, so if there is not so much to do on the farm there is a possibility to help catching and taking care of homeless cats or sell second hand things from the barn in benefit of the homeless cats.
  
  During the weekdays you will have to do the tasks on your own, but when I am not working we can do the things together. I will always be able to show you how to perform the tasks. I am able to work from home if necessary as well.

  Unterkunft

  I have 3 spare bedrooms in the house. The 3 bedrooms share one bathroom on the same floor and there is also an extra bathroom downstairs, which is also shared with me. There are in all 2 showers and a bath tub. The kitchen is shared by everyone. I think it is nice to eat the meals together whenever possible. Would be great if we can share the cooking as well (eather we cook together or different persons cook for everyone different days).
  
  I love cooking and can teach you many Swedish recipes. I cannot eat gluten, so I appreciate if we can cook gluten free food for all as much as possible, but of course I will by bread, hamburger bread, pasta and other food that doesn´t taste so good for someone who doesn´t have to eat gluten free, no problem. I eat meat and fish, but also like vegetarian and vegan food, so it will be no problem to cook that kind of food for everyone if you are vegetarian och vegan.
  There is am open fire place in the house and also possible to make fire outside.

  Was noch ...

  There is a bus going 8 times a day, that stops 5 minutes by foot from the house. But it is convenient to have your own car if you want to travel around. I can also bring you to places with my car when I am not working.
  
  There are many nice nature areas close by, like one or southern Sweden´s highest water fall, the nature reserve Fjärås Bräcka, a cultural heritage showing how people lived in the 16th and 17th centuries and many nice places to swim or to take a walk by the ocean, there are both sandy beaches and cliffs. A little further away, but still suitable for a daytrip, are all the tourists site of Göteborg, or the fortresses in Varberg or Marstrand.
  
  I have cats and there are horses and sheep close by, so if you have a pet allergy it won´t work.
  Only non smokers. No drugs in the house or on the farm (1-2 glasses of alcohol once a week is ok).
