Beschreibung
We are a small Brazilian family living in the south of Minas Gerais: me, my mother, and our dog Alaska.
I joined Workaway for the first time back in 2014 as a traveler, and it became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Since then, I’ve visited more than 68 countries (including Antarctica!) and met incredible people around the world. Hosting travelers now feels like a way to give back everything that traveling has given me.
We live in a peaceful small town surrounded by mountains, nature, waterfalls, hiking trails and beautiful landscapes. Life here is simple, calm and very connected to the outdoors. Agriculture is a big part of our region and my family works in farming, so our home is usually full of movement, family visits and good conversations.
I’m a professional photographer and I run my own photography company. My work gives me some flexibility, and whenever possible I enjoy spending time with travelers, showing them our region, local culture and hidden places around here. I’m passionate about adventure travel, photography, nature and cultural exchange.
Our house is also full of kids energy 😄 I have three nephews who are always around after school and on weekends. They love meeting people from different countries and cultures.
At the moment, we are rebuilding and improving parts of our leisure area, so we would love to welcome people who enjoy helping with creative projects, outdoor activities and daily life tasks.
I speak Portuguese, English and Spanish, so communication is usually easy and relaxed. We are especially interested in hosting international travelers because we truly enjoy learning about new cultures and languages.
I travel frequently throughout the year, but I always try my best to coordinate dates if possible.

It is a tourist region of Minas Gerais, famous for its inherent natural value and mountains, where there are many waterfalls and outdoor activities. You will be able to experience the true interior of Brazil and still be close to big cities. I have many friends and we can do different things, go hiking, climbing, camping, going to bars or visiting another city near here. You won't miss leisure activities!

We are in Poços de Caldas region, in the south of Minas Gerais, very close to the border with the State of São Paulo, 3 hours from São Paulo city or 2 hours from Campinas. Both with international airport: (GRU) São Paulo and (VCP) Campinas. We have bus lines that get here, I can teach you how to get here quickly.
