    Hello!

I am a 24 year old travelling soul from germany that spent most of the covid era in New Zealand where i was saved from all of the lockdowns in the rest of the world. There i was highly inspired by some locals i have met that lived completely off the grid in the bush and barely needed civilization. After also having spent some time in communities in the NZ bush and also later in Australia, a dream had manifested - i wanted to find my own peace of land where i can live independent and provide space for likeminded people.

Then when i returned to europe i started a hitchhiking trip through france into spain and it was in Asturias where alot of magic begun.
While hitchhiking past her, walking by the side of the road, i recognized a familiar face near the border of asturias; it was a dutch friend that i met on the other side of the world while travelling in New Zealand. I joined in as she was walking the Camino de Santiago and walked with her into Asturias. There in Llanes a spanish man selling Chorizos on a market told me that i will find alot of like minded people and affordable peaces of land for sale around the region of Infiesto. I decided to carry on and hitchhike there to give it a try. This way i got to know a young spanish lady with german roots who could perfectly tell me about a cabin that her grandfather was trying to sell for very little money. (I couldnt speak any spanish at the time so her fluent german was like heaven sent)
First i didnt think very highly about the cabin as its inaccessibility and the steepness of the land repelled me at first. But then her husband led me to a nearby waterfall right next to the oldest beech tree i had ever seen.
It was that primeval energy that surrounded the place reminding me of New Zealand and convincing me to later buy it.

I then partially lived there, spending the winter away to work and save money for the project.
The first year was hard as i always had to walk down a track with wolf footprints to the next old road where i would then hitch a ride to infiesto to buy my groceries.

The second year was much better as i came with 4x4 vehicle that could park much closer to my land. And i had many people visiting and helping me. Also i was able to myself go and visit different projects nearby and realised the big amount of likeminded people already living in the area from all over the world.

Later another lucky thing happened. I made friends with an older spanish couple that own a hut further up the mountain. They only use it for a handful of weekends in the year and offered that i could use it as a shelter for myself and all the volunteers helping me while working on my own building project. It provides an upper floor with 6 beds in it and a downstairs having a kitchen, sink a dining table and a really cosy fireplace that gave me alot of comfort after having spent alot of time in the bell tent. There is very good internet connection and solar powered electricity.
Also attached to the main part of the cabin there is a smaller room that has a beautiful bathroom and toilet.

So i am very happy to be able to provide this comfort to anyone willing to come and stay and already envision a little mini community of travellers that cook, eat and play music together in that beautiful stone cabin where you have the best night sky i have seen in europe.

My quest for this year is to hopefully make progress with making my own stone cabin habitable. I have already laid a waterpipe to the land and restored the track that once led to the cabin. Also i set up a little camping spot with a bell tent, an outdoor kitchen and stone table.
Whoever decides to come and join that adventure will have the choice between staying in the upper cabin or down on my own land in a bell tent.

This valley just as the general surrounding region is very special. Alot of magic things have happened to me and i was able to meet the most interesting people. This site doesnt offer enough space to describe everything so please feel free to reach out and join me on that adventure.

Also if you want to get a good idea of how this place looks like, a friend from New Zealand made a really amazing YouTube Video about my life there. Check it out!

People staying will soak into one of the last primeval natural places of Europe and get away from the daily hustle of city life. I can share my knowledge of wild edible food, gardening and other bushcraft. Hopefully I can as well learn from everyone visiting, each person is welcome to add to the whole picture from their own experiences. I want the land to be an opportunity for ecological minded souls to be creative and use it as a sort of sandbox. Ideally we can create a group that can explore an alternative way of life in harmony with nature. I want everyone to feel the possibility to have a say and choose what project to focus on.

On my land there probably is a million things to do. Depending what kind of person you are you can spend all day in the forest collecting mushrooms (And you will probably find tons as I do, especially this year...!) or you can help me create a garden, do some natural building on the hut, build cool things with sticks or just explore and maybe we find some caves or even more waterfalls.

Since last year i am able to provide very comfortable shelter in a fully off grid cabin a little walk away from my own. It has an upstairs with a total of 6 beds and an downstairs with a kitchen, dining table, sink and a cozy fireplace. Also there is a smaller seperate room with a bathroom and toilet. Together we can also set up a gas heated shower. As this cabin is not my own though and has been offered to me by a very friendly older spanish couple to use i really need to able to trust everybody staying in it to use it with care.

If you want to have an even more adventerous experience you also can choose to stay directly on the land which is only accessible on foot at the moment. There i have set up a 3 metres wide bell tent, an outdoor kitchen and there is running water from the nearby spring.

The main accomodation has got very good internet connection and provides good comfort though the upstairs is more of a hostel type style sleeping area.

Transport - The main accomodation also is only accessible by a 4x4 vehicle and is quite far from most ammenities. It is about a half an hour walk to the next main road where there is a bus only once a week. I have a 4x4 car and will be able to pick you up in Infiesto which you can easily reach with the Alsa Bus from Oviedo, Gijon or Aviles.
