Would you like to spend Christmas and New Year on a quiet farm in Andalucia?
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HOUSESITTER FROM 20 December 2025 TO 8 January 2026.
We enjoy life on our 5 hectare, tree studded farm in Huelva, Andalusia. My husband and I are retired, fit and active people who like to laugh. Since moving to the farm that we bought in March 2022, we are blessed with amazing opportunities to start a vegetable / herb garden, to plant fruit trees, to design / implement swales, to dig holes for gabions and to create small islands of tranquility.
The beautiful weather, although sometimes very hot or cold, allow us to be creative, especially as we watch every sunrise and every sunset. We welcome helpers to join us in: to collect stones to fill the gabions, to collect mulch from under the huge oak trees, to collect wood, to prepare planting areas for more fruit trees, to do gardening, especially the preparation of the soil, to cut wild brush and to assist in whatever is priority on the permaculture to-do-list. It didn't rain for many months and therefore we have a huge challenge ahead of us. We work with joy, we enjoy the company of people and we hope you will have a meaningful stay with us.

We live near a small Spanish village with an Arab and Roman past.
