Step into the heart of Jordan's breathtaking Wadi Rum desert, where ancient landscapes meet modern adventures. Our Bedouin camp offers an authentic experience of life in this magical corner of the world. Whether you’re exploring rugged canyons by jeep, riding a camel under the endless sky, or hiking to hidden gems, Wadi Rum promises memories to last a lifetime.
We are a small and passionate team, led by me (Salman) the camp owner and supported by our talented chef and skilled desert Jeep driver. As a volunteer, you’ll become part of our close-knit team, helping to share the wonders of Wadi Rum with guests while learning about Bedouin culture and desert life.

Visit historical sites like the home of Lawrence of Arabia, climb fantastical landscapes with breathtaking views, and marvel at the desert’s many ancient treasures. This stunning location has inspired filmmakers, serving as the backdrop for movies like Dune, The Martian, and Star Wars.
In addition, you’ll be surrounded by an Arabic-speaking environment—an incredible opportunity to practice your language skills, learn conversational Arabic, or even pick up a few new phrases while connecting with our team.

Website development: We have an urgent need for someone with the skills to build a new website for our camp. If you have experience in web design or development, your expertise will be invaluable in helping us create an engaging online presence.
Our camp thrives on creating unforgettable desert experiences, and you can play a key role in making this happen! We’re looking for a friendly, adaptable volunteer to support us in a variety of ways:
• Online Support: Responding to guest enquiries, handling online bookings, updating social media platforms with engaging content, and keeping our website up to date.
• Guest interaction: Welcoming visitors, assisting with their needs, and ensuring they feel at home in the camp.
• Hands-on help: Pitching in with cleaning and tidying the camp.
We’re always open to your ideas! Whether it’s improving our website, streamlining tasks, or adding a creative touch to guest experiences, your contributions will be valued.
Knowledge of email systems and social media platforms is essential to help us effectively manage guest interactions and our online presence.

Unterkunft
You’ll stay in a cozy Bedouin tent, designed more like a cabin for comfort. The tent is shared if there are multiple volunteers and includes a private bathroom for your convenience. We provide a hearty breakfast and dinner, featuring delicious local dishes prepared by our talented chef.
And of course, you’ll enjoy all the tea you can drink—a true Bedouin tradition to make you feel right at home!

Life in the desert is relaxed and peaceful, giving you plenty of free time to unwind and immerse yourself in your surroundings. Bring a good book or simply soak in the serene atmosphere—it’s the perfect chance to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore the stunning desert landscape at your leisure. When there’s space available, you’re welcome to join our desert tours free of charge—an unforgettable way to experience Wadi Rum’s natural wonders.
For transportation, the easiest way to reach us is to come to the village entrance (visitors center). From there, we’ll pick you up and bring you to the camp.
