  Hi there, I am Nelson {Beaver} and my manager Bush {Dog}. I had the privilege of being the first Workaway host in town back in 2015 with some friend's project.
  
  I now run a homestay-hostel Spanish school since 2018 that offers an authentic cultural immersion. It’s designed for travelers who move at a slower pace and seek to truly connect with the reality of a place and its people—Come, meet and help the people that make my town Special... If you’re someone seeking a truly local experience while supporting my community, feel free to reach out to me.
  
  The type of help needed is really simple. I’m simply trying to provide the opportunities I never had while growing up here. Basic English lessons for a few locals, including a wonderful family that travelers adore when they join their famous pupusa-making class in town.
  
  And how do I pay you back for helping my people?
  
  I am also a certified national local guide, but my experience comes from growing and living here.

I am also running an authentic walking tour in town plus we were the pioneers of the Pupusa class with travelers since 2015.   Arbeit

  The Hostel-house is a cozy place in the neighborhood where I grew up, 10 minutes away from the Centre. I never wanted to build up a fancy one but a place where you feel as home and you can have everything needed. It’s not a party hostel or the usual tourist trap. I’ve always aimed to keep it, cool, simple and authentic, a place where guests can come and discover what it has meant to grow and live as a local.

  I launched a project to support several locals, but our main focus is on helping one lovely family with basic English and many creative ideas to make their pupusa-making class even more interactive and enjoyable.

  You will have access to the kitchen with fridge, blender and anything you might need, where you can cook all groceries you might get at the local market. Reminder: You will be cooking for yourself too.
  
  Workawayers will stay in shared bedroom. But that never happens so you will have the doorbed for yourself. With a shared bathroom.
  
  Feel free to use the washing machine and everything at home. Mi casa es tu casa. :)

  There are plenty of activities to do in Santa Ana, stroll through the small and unique streets of the town. There you will discover local crafts while picking up food and some of the freshest fruits and veggies the region has to offer. We have the Santa Ana Volcano which is also the ideal destination for those who enjoy hiking in a pleasant cool weather. Coatepeque Lake, ranked among the most beautiful lakes of the world. At night do not feel like you need to stay at home. There are plenty of things depending on what you enjoy. From having a beer in one of the speakeasy bars towns that you will get to know with me or having delicious snack from one of the many different restaurants.
  
  We are into surfing, skateboarding, downhill skateboarding and many another extreme passion. In case you share the same lifestyle. ;)
