Travel buddy
I’m the kind of person who gets restless when two days look alike, and I’m happiest when I’m meeting people whose stories stretch my understanding of the world. Give me new foods, new cultures, new perspectives, and I’m content. I never really had one hometown. I started in Cameroon, moved to the United States as a kid, and then kept drifting from city to city. Constant moving turned me into an adaptable person who finds home wherever there’s a kind community. It also pushed me toward a nomadic life, one in which meaningful experiences matter more than money. I travel slowly so I can enjoy nature, quiet paths, loud markets, and the everyday feel of places that don’t put on a show for tourists. I care about treating people with respect no matter where they come from. I value fair trade and artisanal crafts. Dancing is my favorite pastime, and cooking follows close behind. One of my most memorable trips was a five-week backpacking run through Europe. On the Aeoli Islands I stayed with a family who welcomed me like a long-lost cousin. We ate dinner together, swapped stories, and I helped tidy their properties during the day. In my free time I explored the islands, hiking and checking out the beaches. It was a short stay but a genuinely warm experience. Most of my work experience is in web development. Outside the tech world I’m comfortable cooking, cleaning, painting homes, gardening, waitressing, and translating between English and French. What motivates me is simple: connection and curiosity.
