Hello :) I’ m Tancrede, a 27 French man from south-east France. I started travelling with a friend in Asia last year and now I would like to experience solo-travelling by myself. In France I am entrepreneur in landscaping and gardening, in winter from January to march I have plenty of time and that’s why I use it to travel the world. This winter I would like to discover Mauritius island from the inside. I love to meet new people and cultures and share moments of joy and wisdom. I’m really interested in helping anybody who have the will to welcome me and who would like to share their way of life with me, in a mutual exchange. I am handy, I got skills in gardening and landscaping, good feeling with pets, and the will to learn and help ! I like to do differents kind of sports, like walking, bicycle, surf, swim, team sports. I speak french, english and spanish and I will enjoy to learn more languages ! My friends tell me that I am really open minded and easygoing. ENGLISH: Hi! I'm a french former architect and now wood carpenter, currently living in Bretagne, France. After having been an architect for almost 10 years and after experimenting wood construction thanks to workaway in 2019, I decided to become a wood carpenter. I recently bought and fully renovated a small house in the countryside. I did hard wood flooring, interior insulation, wood dry walls, electricity and plumbery, custom furniture, a kitchen and a bathroom and I loved it! I learned many things and enjoyed it, as well as I now appreciate to live in this house. I don't like to spend winters in the cold rainy part of France where Ilive so I am planning regular trips in more sunny areas during these periods of time. As a hardworker who likes to stay busy, I would be happy if it can be a chance to discover new people and help you to renovate or increase the place where you live. I speak french, english and german fluently, I like to discover and learn new things (technics, culture, traditions, languages) as well as share my own knowledges. I appreciate to live in a community and I really enjoy cooking as well as sharing meals. I also like to discover the surrounding by hiking, be in the nature and meditate, do some yoga and to feel connections with natural elements and people. FRANÇAIS: Bonjour, je suis un ancien architecte français basé en Bretagne près de Rennes mais souvent en voyage. Après avoir travaillé en tant qu'architectte pendant une dizaine d'années, puis avoir participé à plusieurs chantiers de construction bois grâce à Workaway en 2019, j'ai décidé de devenir charpentier bois et ai obtenu le diplôme en 2024. J'ai travaillé depuis sur quelques chantiers en Bretagne et j'ai beaucoup apprécié cette ambiance de travail collective. J'ai également acheté une maison en octobre 2024 que j'ai intégralement rénovée seul : pose de parquet en bois massif, isolation thermique intérieure, doublage des murs en contreplaqué, plomberie, électricité et meubles en contreplaqué sur mesure, cuisine et salle de bains complètes... Et j'ai beaucoup apprécié tout ce que j'ai appris! Je n'aime pas rester chez moi l'hiver car il y fait sombre, froid et humide aussi j'ai décidé de partir en voyage dans des zones du mondes plus chaudes et ensoleillées durant cette période. J'aime être actif et avoir les mains occupées donc je serais ravi de pouvoir vous aider à rénover, construire ou entretenir votre lieu de vie durant ce voyage, de même que j'aime découvrir et apprendre de nouvelles personnes, dont l'histoire et la culture m'enrichissent. Je parle français, anglais et allemand assez couramment, j'aime autant découvrir et apprendre de nouvelles langues et de nouvelles cultures, techniques et autres; que partager mes propres connaissances. J'apprécie de vivre en communauté et j'aime vraiment cuisiner et partager des repas. Je prends aussi beaucoup de plaisir à me ressourcer, faire de la randonnée, du yoga, de la méditation et être à l'écoute des éléments et des individus.
