Hello everyone!! My name is Maxime, I’m 20 years old, and I’m from Brussels in Belgium. I feel like it’s complicated to talk about oneself without giving the impression of showing off, but if I have to, I’ll probably say that I’m like, the coolest person ever. More seriously, I’m an enthusiastic person who has an optimistic way of seeing things. I’m curious, sociable, and kinda clever. I really like art, nature, all types of games, and cooking. But more generally, I like to see and experience new things, meet new people, travel, in short; the adventure ! French is my native language, but I speak English fluently, and I’m currently learning Dutch (easier said than done by the way). I’ve had many chances to use tools and work on manual projects, and I really enjoy that kind of work. I also have experience taking care of children because I was part of a scout unit, where I developed creativity, adaptability, and living in community. So if you need to sell cookies or help an old lady cross the street, don’t look further; I’m here! I’m still figuring out what I want to do in life, and for now, studying feels a bit too theoretical for me. I really want to experience real, hands-on projects and see things grow or take shape. The Workaway lifestyle really attracts me: travelling, working, and discovering new places and ways of living. I’m looking for adventure and real experiences that can help me learn more about the world and also about myself.
