Hello there! :)
First, here is a short and up-to-date summary about myself:
I am currently available and seeking longer-term volunteering opportunities. I am eager to assist hosts in various fields, including community support, education, teaching, translation, hospitality, tourism, farming, permaculture, horticulture, animal care, wildlife conservation or any other area where I have experience or can acquire the necessary skills.
Since May 2024, I have travelled and worked as a volunteer and in paid jobs at magical locations surrounded by nature. My journey has taken me to the West Coast of Ireland, Swedish Lapland beyond the Arctic Circle, Northern Iceland, Navarino Island in Chile, — the world's southernmost commune — Norway and Ecuador.
I stayed with my hosts for a couple of months, assisting them in their hospitality and tourism business, as well as at their home, farm, or other types of properties. My responsibilities included housekeeping, waitressing, reception, and overall guest services. I also worked as a barista, dishwasher, kitchen porter, breakfast server, translator and tour guide. I accompanied tourists and travellers on various day trips, including hiking, kayaking, canoeing, horse riding, and boat tours. Additionally, I helped with caring for dogs, some other pets, and farm animals, as well as sanding and sealing the wood walls of a hotel building. It was my first time working in carpentry, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. While it was easy to learn, managing it was hard due to the changing weather conditions. I found it very rewarding.
All my Workaway experiences have been enriching, educational, and fun, even at the most difficult moments, so I am excited to continue my adventures. I'm really looking forward to my next host and challenge!

A bit more about me:
Like others on Workaway, I am here to seek new experiences, knowledge and skills.
I love learning, exploring diverse cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds, and immersing myself in nature. I am independent but enjoy being part of a community and collaborating with others. I like helping people and making their day brighter.
I am passionate about nature and wildlife. The beauty of landscapes, flora, and fauna fills me with joy. I am fond of the countryside and "all creatures, great and small". I love caring for animals and spending time outdoors, whether working, relaxing, exercising, or simply taking a stroll. I also enjoy interacting with people of different cultures and ages and listening to their stories and perspectives. I appreciate meaningful conversations about personal beliefs, philosophies, passions, projects, and challenges. It's inspiring.
Experiencing another culture, lifestyle, and job is an exciting and enlightening adventure I always crave to repeat. Instead of travelling from place to place, I'd prefer to stay with the same host for several months or an entire season to gain a more comprehensive experience. I want to become an integral part of the local life and community, adjusting to its rhythm and routines, and falling in love with it. I want to master my tasks, and when I am free, I'd like to visit many interesting places, which also takes time.
Over the last twenty years, I've primarily worked in office jobs and spent a significant amount of time chained to the computer, so I am eager to engage in physical work to assist hosts. It would be even better if the job combined physical and mental efforts, but I'm open to any tasks. I'll strive to learn and do them well. I'd also love to participate in a project that benefits people or the environment.
All this might sound like a collection of familiar and generic platitudes, but it reflects who I am. Oh, and one more thing! I don't take myself too seriously and love to have a good laugh.

I appreciate your attention! :)
