Hi! My name is Ayumi, and I’m from Japan. I’m 26 years old and excited to start a new adventure through Workaway. I have no problem communicating in English in daily situations. I’ve studied abroad twice — in Canada for one year during junior high school, and in Australia for two months as a university student. In both countries, I stayed with host families, so I’m familiar with and comfortable in shared living environments. After graduating from university, I worked at an NPO that runs afterschool programs for children for over three years. I planned and organized various events such as Christmas parties, Halloween activities, summer festivals, and more. I really enjoy spending time with children — they give me so much energy, and I always learn something from their curiosity and honesty. While I was in university, I had many different part-time jobs, including: -Working at a traditional Japanese sweets shop (serving matcha, dumplings, shaved ice, etc.) -Teaching at a cram school -Supporting students as a learning assistant in a junior high school -Working in after-school programs -Cafe and bento shop staff -Light work at a warehouse -Chocolate and cake shop staff I enjoy learning new things because they help broaden my perspective and teach me more about the world and myself. I majored in Global Japanese Studies, where we compared Japanese culture with others. I found it really interesting to discover new cultural perspectives. I also studied education and have teaching licenses for junior high and high school English in Japan. 🌸Why workaway? I’ve always admired the mindset of many people I’ve met abroad — they tend to have strong self-esteem, love themselves as they are, and don’t compare themselves to others. I find that attitude beautiful and inspiring. I believe that by living among people like that and sharing daily life together, I can grow and become a more open-hearted and positive person. Through Workaway, I want to communicate with many people, learn from their values, and discover what makes each person unique and wonderful. My hobbies include: -Baking -Cooking -Yoga -Sewing -Taking walks -Playing musical instruments -Feeling and connecting with nature *All the food, sweets, and artwork in my photos are made by me! Thank you for reading my profile. I'm really looking forward to meeting kind people, helping out in any way I can, and having meaningful experiences through Workaway!

Hey! I’m arriving in Thailand on December 12 and I’ll be staying for about a month. I’m looking for someone who’s down for real adventure — the fun, the crazy, and even the uncomfortable parts. If you’re someone who loves exploring, getting lost, trying new things, and making memories that actually mean something, hit me up. Let’s create a sick adventure together.
