We are a fairly large (party) hostel with a capacity of 100+ people in Lanquin, located in the Alta Verapaz region of Guatemala. We have accommodations ranging from camping to private deluxe rooms with private bath, mainly catering for the 20-35 year old backpacker.
We have a lively onsite bar and full restaurant boasting a wood fired oven for bread and pizza. We organize excursions to the National Parks of Semuc Champey and Lanquin caves. Kam' Ba' caves and tubing on the river are all here too. The hostel is set in and around thatched roof bungalows on top of a hill with 3 dogs, 2 cats and an incredible view. Sound good?

About Lanquin. Lanquin is a quaint little town (village) 2 hours from any McClown, SubKing or Walmarx in the countryside, it is a peaceful little place where pharmacies, comedores and small shops line the streets. You can buy some essentials in town like potato chips, some fruit and veg, a chuck norris t-shirt or maybe a couple of "new and fun" items on a market day but not much more.
Apart from Semuc Champey, Caving, swimming in the river, hiking, reading, enjoying the view, drinking alcohol, partying at night, nursing a hangover in a hammock.... Then some tubing the river, talking to interesting people, playing some games, watching movies, playing a drinking game , recovering from another hangover, meeting more interesting people, zip lining, white water rafting, mountain biking, eating something new in town or visiting another hostel in the area........ there is not much else to do, it is not anything like a metropolis, just a small town with friendly people.
We love it and so could you. See you soon.
