    Description

🌿We run a peaceful beach house on Ghana’s beautiful west coast, and we're looking for friendly, hands-on volunteers to help bring a little life and love to the place.
A key project is the vacant plot of land next to the house. It’s currently a sandy space with a few palm trees, but we’d love to turn it into a small garden oasis. Think: a meandering path, a few shady spots to relax with a sea view, some hardy tropical plants — and enough open space to keep it from getting too bushy (we want to avoid attracting snakes!). Whether you’re into landscaping, creative planning, or just enjoy working outdoors with your hands, we’d really appreciate your input.
Besides gardening, you might also help with general upkeep of the house, social media content, or hosting travelers now and then. Nothing too formal — we like to keep things relaxed and friendly here. In return, we offer a place to stay and reimburse meals, and also plenty of time to enjoy the sea and surrounding nature.

You’ll get a real taste of Ghanaian coastal life — lots of fishing, slow-paced, warm, and welcoming. You’re welcome to join in cooking, explore local markets, learn a few words of Fante or Twi, and visit nearby cultural and historical landmarks like Elmina Castle, Cape Coast, and Kakum National Park.
You’ll also see the behind-the-scenes of running a small tourism project in West Africa — a mix of practical challenges and everyday beauty.

    Hans Cottage Botel
    Located at Cape Coast, Central
The Hans Cottage Botel is located in a serene environment and the collection of plants and birds are beautiful. The setting is pleasant, partly on stilts on a pond, with a swimmingpool and nice greenery. It is actually a restaurant on stilts in a pond with crocodiles, turtles and various bird species (a large colony of weaver Birds building their nests around the water). You can pay to see the crocs being fed. It is easiest to spot crocodiles in the evening or morning, so you may wish to spend the night at the Hans botel The hotel is strategically located, close to well known tourism highlights as Cape Coast, Elmina, Kakum, ---
Monkey forest reserve (zoo), all in the same area.
    ---
    Kakum National Park
    Known for Hiking Trail
333 meter long suspended Canopy bridges in top of the trees makes for an exciting and beautiful trail through the park
