    Description

    Hello to you!
We are a family of 4 (boy 11y and doughter 4y old) and recently came back from a long journey we made with our sailingboat, that took us over the atlantic and to beautiful places… We love to meet other people and countries and are friendly, happy and openminded people!

We own two small houses, next to each other. One we live in and the other has been renovated and extended by us. But the work is not yet finished and we would love to have a helping hand. The help we need would be very varied, from tasks around the house to outdoor tasks in the garden, paving, woodwork). But childcare for our five-year-old daughter and household chores like shopping and cooking would also be highly appreciated.

We are happy to hear from you!
    See you soon!
    Sophia and Marco

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

As a German family, we can of course introduce our guests to our language and culture. At the same time, we are happy when we can get to know other languages and cultures. It's always exciting to exchange ideas and talk about travel experiences. For example, we can talk about what it's like to cross the Atlantic on a small sailing boat...
And of course Potsdam and Berlin have a lot to offer. Both cities can be easily reached via public transport. While staying with us, you will have enough freetime to immerse yourself in city life or enjoy the nature around.

  • Help

    Help

Experience in construction is certainly advantageous, but not necessary. But you should enjoy physical tasks. Since the house is small, the upcoming project is manageable and will be carried out exclusively by us together with you as a helping hand. Even our 11 years old son is keen on helping and if he would improve his english (or other language?) while doing tasks together with you, this would be lovely!
Since Marco is a carpenter by profession, watch out what he is doing and you can certainly learn a lot from him here!
Thanks for helping us - together we rock it!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

As the house we live in is very small, we can't accomodate you with us. Therefore you will stay in the house we are currently working on. But the interior is nearly finished and you will have a nice room with a bed and a table. The bathroom with shower and bathtub is also for your own use.
A bicycle is available for free use.
The house is in very close proximity (3 min walk!) to an enchanting lake with a swimming area and a beautiful forest where you can take a wonderful walk.
Potsdam and Berlin are easy to reach by public transport and are always worth a visit!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The house in which our guests live in, is under construction . So there will be a construction site. But don't worry: all tasks are carried out by us and you. Therefore there will be no other construction workers on site and no large machines or anything like that. There will be enough peace and quiet for our guests.

Smoking ist not allowed in the house. No pets.

If you bring your own camper van - this would be awsome! If so, we could also host two people. The van could park on a parking lot in front of our house. There is not a huge amount of space, so a motorhome won't fit. But you are away from the road and have beautiful greenery around you. You could use our terrace with table and chairs and you can use our facilities.
