Description
I am a professional who has traveled to more than 50 countries. I have academic training in languages, cultures and theories of food and nutrition (PhD) with a focus on Native American and non-western cultures. I have been studying organic gardening, permaculture and traditional herbalism for 10+ years. I am restoring the land surrounding my home with Native plants/trees for food, mediicine, dyes, and other traditional uses. The area where i live (Indiana Dunes) has been a center for herbalism and plant knowledge for more than 10,000 years, according to local sources. I currently work in Education Consulting and teach occasional classes and workshops.
I am a private homestead and only producing for my own, neighbor's and animal consumption/ Workawayers won't be helping with any tasks relating to the businessTypes of help and learning opportunities

Help
Looking for like-minded folks who enjoy socializing, gardening and who have an interest in working with plants as medicine, construction and/or dyes. Occasional repairs, painting and light housework. Assistance preparing meals. I have a medium sized garden (less than 1 acre) with more than 100 local plants that I use for food, medicine, dyes and beauty.
