  I am very excited to welcome you to my family farm. Experience the charm of rustic living with accommodations that offer a perfect blend of comfort and simplicity. Wake up to the sight of rolling hills, lush greenery, and perhaps the friendly faces of the farm's resident animals.
  
  A little about me: My name is Anne and 4 years ago I decided to uproot my life in Copenhagen and move to the family farm on the opposite side of Denmark. The buildings and lands had been empty for several years when I got here, so a lot of work has already gone into making the space a good and viable place to live.
  
  I have been working towards creating an eco-system here, where I can use everything this beautiful piece of land has to offer. This has meant getting creative and going through many trial and error processes, as this was a new way of living for me! I am now hosting non-profit events, taking full advantage of everything the nature and large communal spaces have to offer.
  
  On the farm I have 3 cows, 2 horses, and 1 cat. The animals help keep the vegetation down, and generally look after themselves during summer, although they love some company and attention. I look forward to welcoming you to Østbjerglund and introducing you to everything the nature has to offer in this gorgeous landscape.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Staying at the farm you will learn new skills like how to organise non-profit events, drive a quad bike, how to recognise editable
  fungi and flowers, and you how to interact with the animals living on the farm.
  
  I speak both Danish and English and would be happy to share my knowledge of both languages.

  Arbeit

  Your days will be filled with meaningful activities, working alongside fellow travellers and the welcoming farm community. Engage in a variety of tasks, ranging from creating a vibrant kitchen garden to gathering an assortment of flowers and herbs. Take pride in contributing to the farm´s sustainability and growth.
  
  We’ve hosted Vision Quest, where people came from around the world to participate in a weeklong camp, including sweat lodges and creating energy and community in the camp which could be transferred to those ‘sitting out’. Vision Quest will take place again in 2024, and I will need assistance to ensure the smooth flow of the week. This will be a great experience for anyone interested in building their sense on connection between humans and nature.
  
  Schedule: Embrace a balanced lifestyle with a commitment of 3-5 hours of work five days a week depending on the specific tasks at hand. This flexible schedule allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture, explore the surroundings, and fully appreciate the wonders of the ice age landscape.
  
  There will be specific times, where you will need to be available, but I will let you know in good time so we can plan together.
  
  You may need to help with:
  
  -Setting up a kitchen garden
  -Gathering and preparing flowers, herbs, and fungi
  -Helping in the kitchen
  -Assisting with non-profit events
  -Repairing / setting up an electric fence
  -Log splitting and woodland management

  Unterkunft

  There is plenty of space on the farm and where you will stay will depend on availability at the time of your arrival. I have a newly built house wagon, but also several rooms inside the main house. You will have a room to yourself, although Sigurd the cat may pop in to visit.
  
  If you prefer to camp, there is also plenty of spaces for you to set up a tent on the many hills.
  
  You are welcome to join me for dinner! I enjoy a varied diet, including both meat and vegetables and try and use the ingredients naturally growing in the area as much as possible. If you have any special dietary requirements please let me know and we can discuss how to best approach this. If you wish to eat with me, we can take turns cooking or help each other out.

  In your free time, explore the stunning natural surroundings. Hike through meadows, explore the forest, or simply enjoy the serenity of the landscape. The farm is located in between Jelling and Vejle. Jelling is renowned for its Viking-age monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, offers visitors a glimpse into Denmark´s rich history.
  
  I have a car and will be happy to pick you up from the train station or airport when you arrive. There is a bus that runs from Jelling to Vejle on the main road, which is about a fifteen-minute walk from the farm. You are also welcome to grab a bike and cycle to Jelling, although I would not recommend cycling to Vejle as the hills are very steep..
