I got to stay with Carol, Cian and the family for about 4 weeks and couldn’t have wished for a better (first) WorkAway experience!From the first moment on I felt really welcomed which never once changed during my entire stay. I had my own space in the loft but was always welcome in the main house. The property and garden are super beautiful and
… read more cozy and the work was always clearly communicated and what I expected. Mostly it was the typical work you would do in a garden, weeding, mowing the lawn etc., but I also got to bottle Cian’s tasty, homemade apple cider. I could decide very flexibly when to do it which left me with the opportunity to go on trips and see a bit of the country. I also got to join in on family activities and met many lovely people. It was never boring since the house bustles with positive and warm energy and there is always something to discover or join in on. The dogs are also absolute cuties. We were lucky to see lovely piglets being born during our stay. That was a great, exciting experience! We usually worked in the morning and went for walks or bike-rides in the beautiful country in the afternoon. If you like shopping, Cork is very easy to reach by bus.
