Rozanne, Josh and Amber welcomed me into their world. They have such a lovely home, in a beautiful neighborhood, filled with talented interesting people. I feel so lucky to been able to spend time with them (dedicated, creative musicians and community builders) and help them with projects at their cafe and home. I absolutely loved the 3rd floor
… read more room, cozy and bright. Josh and Rozanne have a busy creative life, and they invited me to wednesday night dinners with their friends and all of the music events at the cafe. And from their home, you can walk to the Golden Gate Park, the ocean, or the Lands End hiking trail. And Amber is such a good dog, and this is coming from a "cat person". … read more found a way to elevate each item and turn it into something special - pronto. On many a night she stepped out in as if by magic and saved us from a late-night slog as our schedules overshelmed us!
Amber learned a few Italian phrases along the way, we got to know a few new artists to admire, and I believe Italy now has one lover of peanut butter!

The Pink House was beautiful and Richmond District is a perfect start point to visit all San Francisco. Last but not least, Amber is a very cute and sweet dog, I’ve really fallen in love with her. This was my first workaway experience and thanks to all of them, it won’t be the unique. It really has been an exchange for me, totally. Thanks! … read more enjoyable. The re-upholstery project, gardening, recipe experiments, and Amber walks were a few of my favorites. I enjoyed many wonderful meals with Josh and Rozanne that was usually a collaboration between us all. There was always fun produce and other ingredients to get creative with. There are endless books to enjoy if you need a little break from exploring the city.
The cafe they own is a very homey space, where you can connect with all kinds of lovely folks. A lot of fun events to get in on, such as open mic and craft markets. :-)

There are no words for our time with Grace, having her stay with us for three months was an absolute gift. She is so perceptive, constructive, and giving, full of great ideas and recipes, little touches and big results - she really crept into our hearts.

… read more night saves, took on a kitchen cabinet re-do, snuck into our cafe late at night to do little cleans and upgrades, all self-driven and doing much more than I imagined. Our Shiba, ms A, fell in love with her and could be found waiting longingly at the attic stairs.
The world will continue to open many doors for Grace, and you will be the lucky one if you get to walk alongside her for a few weeks or months. Come back anytime!
