Description
Hi! If you enjoy young, fun company, love incredible nature, privacy, peace of mind and do not mind getting your hands dirty - my place is perfect for you!!
I'm Elena (23), and I recently returned to my family home, where my brother (32) and I now live, surrounded by beautiful nature with no neighbors in sight. The place was abandoned for several years, as no one in the family had taken the initiative to care for it. Now, I'm dedicating my time to restoring it to the paradise it has the potential to be — cleaning up the environment and creating spaces for relaxation and enjoyment.Types of help and learning opportunities

You’ll be living in a peaceful, natural environment, away from the rush of city life. Social activities will center around shared meals, relaxing evenings by the fire, and collaborating on the various projects we’re working on. You’ll also get the chance to connect with my family and experience the slower, nature-focused lifestyle we’re building here.
I can teach you some Lithuanian if you're interested, and in your free time, you'll have access to a basketball court, football field, fishing, table tennis, paddle board, skateboards, bikes, camping equipment, and even an ATV. I might also lend you my car occasionally, so you can explore the area further. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy nature, learn new skills, and immerse yourself in our way of life!Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
I primarily need help with gardening, cutting grass, and cleaning pathways, along with preparing materials and building projects like terraces, hammock areas, and a forest library. There will also be some professional help on-site to guide and explain the tasks, so you’ll have support and direction throughout the projects.
Additionally, I’d love assistance with website building and content creation to document the process. One of the volunteers could also be responsible for preparing simple family meals.Languages spoken

We’ve got big, comfortable rooms in a large house with plenty of bathrooms (seriously, 11 toilets!). There’s even a separate apartment with its own kitchen if you’re looking for more privacy. You’ll get to choose your room on a first-come, first-served basis.
We’ll provide two meals a day: breakfast and lunch. Breakfast will be a simple spread of granola, fruits, and similar options, while lunch will be prepared by one of the volunteers. You’ll also have full access to the kitchen. What else ...
In your time off, you can explore the beautiful nature surrounding the house. There are forests and walking paths nearby, perfect for a peaceful escape into the outdoors. Just 10 minutes away by car is Šiauliai, a lively city with shops, restaurants, and nightlife. It’s also a great base for traveling around Lithuania by train or bus, with easy access to the seaside, Vilnius, and even Riga, Latvia.
Close to the property, you’ll find a stunning nature park that’s beautiful all year round, offering scenic trails and a chance to connect with the natural beauty of the area. Don't miss the famous Hill of Crosses in Šiauliai, a unique and historic site worth visiting.A little more information
