Description
We live in a beautiful part of West Cork, located on the stunning Mizen head peninsula, with wonderful beaches, hidden coves and mountain walks overlooking the Sheeps Head Peninsula with its numerous marked walks and unspoiled nature. Nestled in a tranquil rural location, but conveniently located 5km from the village of Durrus, and 15km from the vibrant villages of Schull, Ballydehob and the bustling town of Bantry (with public transport).
We are an easy-going family who enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and sharing experiences. We have two friendly dogs, who spend a lot of the time outside as well as with us in the house. We have lived in different countries, and few years ago decided to move from the city to live and work in this beautiful part of Ireland.
We live in an old farmhouse that we have partially renovated and have a few acres of land with lots of mature trees, bushes, meadows and fields and a stream with a waterfall. We need help to restore and maintain our land and property as we are continually clearing out, reclaiming and developing it.
If you want to live and help with satisfying work in an inspiring place, surrounded by beautiful meditative nature, explore mountains, beaches and unspoiled nature close by, practice English or Serbian language, practice some Yoga and enjoy good food and company, don’t hesitate to contact us for further inquiries.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
We are looking for serious and enthusiastic helpers who enjoy outdoor work and activities with practical skills like cleaning, cooking, gardening, painting, general building maintenance, woodwork/carpentry/ stonework. We are looking for a couple or two friends who can work well together as this has proved to be the best in the past. We need help to maintain our land and property on it as we are continually clearing out, weeding, reclaiming and developing it. We need help mostly during the summer months and prefer helpers who can stay for longer.
Depending on the time of the year your tasks might include gardening/ weeding, painting, cleaning, cutting or stacking firewood, help with any building projects, restoring, removing waste. If you enjoy cooking you can also help with preparing family meals, household chores and cleaning or maintenance tasks. Given the wet climate in Ireland, it is important to bring good rain gear.
We ask for 5 hours work per day, 5 days a week and we will provide you with food and board. There is a kitchen with a cooker, fridge/ freezer and cutlery where your accommodation is so if you prefer you could provide and cook your own food for 3 hours work per day. We are not vegetarians but are happy to accommodate as much as we can.Languages spoken

You will have a private accommodation, located next to the main house where we live. It is a 3 room attic conversion and we have just refurbished it with new floors, insulation, paint and furniture. Ideally, we are looking for a couple or two friends who can work together. Depending on who comes we can lay it out as 1 bedroom and a sitting room with a galley kitchen or 2 separate bedrooms – both with great views of the Atlantic ocean and access to kitchen, laundry and toilet facilities downstairs.
What else ...
Cycling is a good way to get around and explore as there is a lot to see within a relatively short distance - we provide bicycles for the helpers. Bantry and Ballydehob have a public transport /buses and both are 15 km away from us. There is new Link bus service connecting the main places on the peninsulas including Durrus, the village closest to us. We are happy to give you a lift to Bantry or other nearby places on some occasions but you should primarily use available options already mentioned.
