The positive and wonderful experience we've had with volunteers has been an amazing journey and we look forward to more such culturally diverse adventure with you
First of all, let me introduce myself. We are a small family of three which consists of my dad, my brother and me.
We work with teaching English and have our own start up. We would require assistance with marketing and teaching. This gives volunteers a more in-depth idea of working like a local.
Other than that you will also receive training on any work beforehand so there is nothing to worry about.
The volunteers are also treated like a family member and are welcome to participate in any event our family is participating in like weddings, social events and short trips to our local village.
Volunteer hours are very flexible and we are located in the heart of the city and thus you have access to various cultural and memorial sites like Mother Teresa's home and temples within a 20-minute walking distance. Our apartment is at the center and thus living like a local is convenient. There is an endless option of local cuisine you can try out. The sweet shop just a minute away from our office has 30 different varieties of sweets so you get the idea.
There is a mall and various grocery stores located closeby to buy your essentials and any other souvenir you'd like to buy.
If you like the countryside depending on the time of the year we have projects with universities over there and you are welcome to assist there as well. The best part about volunteering with us is that even you require no skills and will be trained according to the tasks assigned to you.
Our family also loves knowing about local cultures, traditions and we'd love to hear tales of your travels. On a personal level, the fantastic cultural exchange has been wonderful.
If you love meeting people and knowing about local lives of everyday citizens in India this is the place for you. Our work revolves around education and you can witness the impact of education of children, adults and people from all spheres of life you work with. If you want to make a difference and gain a completely new experience which involves culture, education and the local life this is the place for you.
