  IMPORTANT: PRIORITY TO THOSE WHO ALSO SPEAK ITALIAN. I am happy to speak English and French..BUT WORKING TOGETHER, IT IS TOO TIRING FOR ME TO CONTINUOUSLY EXPLAIN WHERE THE TOOLS ARE, WHAT THEY ARE CALLED, etc. etc.

  March 2025 : Spring is here so again something to do around the house and inside: cleaning, painting, arranging….
  My mum’s garden as well and chickens cop need to be arranged and cleaned.
  
  September 2024 : doing as much as possible in the first half of the month . Then starting traveling myself.
  
  August 2024: the weather here is so hot that’s just a matter of survival. I just watered plants and did something outside till 10am then again watered plants and did something around after sunset. Family problems, need more help for maintenance here and around my mum’s house.
  
  JUNE/July 2024 I organized events.
  
  -At present looking for help a couple of days before to prepare the location, cut grass, clean, prepare tables and materials…
  -During the event WELCOME: experts, dj, valets for parking, writers or people skilled in painting on walls, creatives for workshops, ….
  - after the event: cleaning and re-arranging items, create posts for socials, …
  
  TWO PEOPLE ARE ENOUGH.
  
  PPS. The event is based on swap and/or spontaneous offer, so don’t expect to be paid
  
  But you’ll get excellent accomodation and healthy food +lots of good contacts in the area.
  LET ME KNOW IF REALLY INTERESTED AND AVAILABLE.
  TIME REMAINING IS SHORT!😳🤷🏼‍♀️😩

  Probably next summer, could be a good idea looking for Workawayers coming straight from Sahara desert 🤷‍♀️😂😂🤣
  But I came to the conclusion that the community I was speaking about existed only in my dreams. So I changed the title of my project with a more realistic one. Probably, for being a community we should be at least two.
  At present I’m only a dreamer working as volunteer in associations matching with my ideas 🤷‍♀️
  
  MAY 2022
  As I said in my last review, I hosted an excellent Workawayer that, despite young age was very skilled and efficient. So big works this place was needing have been done. Moreover I hosted also an old friend (fellow Workawayer in Spain some years ago) that gave his contribution. Now waiting for bills that increased for sure and stopped for a while hosting people.
  Works to be done are long term projects and need materials and money.
  - …..
  So I will host only people that have real skills 🤷‍♀️
  
  APRIL 2022
  I started a little vegetable garden in “permaculture “ or something similar.
  Help coming from time to time from Paola. But she’ s busy so I do by myself. Supervisor Luciana (that’s a permaculture teacher) but she’s as well often away so helping online. Unexpected help from a couple of neighbors giving manure and straw.
  At present I super need strong people to move items that stuck me in proceeding with some little projects, stones to remove and recycle in other places, branches to cut and add to the fence, garages and tools to reorder and clean
  I started documenting work done in a Facebook page “Benvenute farfalle “ (welcome butterflies) .
  Long list of work to be done. Should add around instructions in English because the most difficult thing is to be understood by Workawayers. Also about how I do to save water and electricity.
  
  MARCH 2022
  I alternate periods at home in Sessant and at the seaside in Sanremo. Joined two telegram groups: Villaggiamo Asti & Villaggiamo Liguria to find people with similar interest.
  In Liguria I helped a lady to collect mimosas. I suggested her to join Workaway Anyway I brought her another couple of friends to help.
  In my area I met a girl that wanted to start a vegetable garden:we have a common friend that’s Permaculture teacher and is helping us. At present planted salad, onions, beans, zucchini and learned what’s a vangaforca 🤷‍♀️😂😂
  Home again.NOW : I need help for moving materials + various related to Spring season.
  
  FEBRUARY 2022
  I’ve been harvesting mimosas in Sanremo (Italian coast near French border).
  I come back from a trip in south Italy and Sicily.October and November I was there.
  I collected ideas and inspiration, new energies.
  HELP NEEDED (but can be that’s already done by myself if nobody comes🤷‍♀️😂)
  
  
  IF YOU RED TILL NOW, IT MEANS THAT YOU’RE REALLY INTERESTED TO COME.
  MAYBE A BUTTERFLY, MAYBE GOING BACK TO CATERPILLARNESS FROM TIME TO TIME (like me)
  I live in a big apartment upstairs:my son’s bedroom and bathroom are available for guests.
  Help needed inside:
  - keep your spaces clean and not too messy
  >cleaning windows (many) , kitchen and bathrooms
  > removing spiders webs
  
  
  Outside (yard, garages, laboratory, vegetable garden, land..)there are always many works to be done :
  > brooming, removing and moving leaves and hay to composter that will become a new vegetable bed
  - watering plants
  - weeding but not too much
  …………
  Any other work or reparation that can be done recycling materials and with small budget.

  - Welcome Workawayers experienced in what I listed above.
  
  - As the weather can be very cold or hot depending on the season, I count spending time inside in creative activities : available many beads and broken necklaces to create new jewels, second hand clothes and fabric to recycle. sewing machine available .
  
  WELCOME ALSO : electricians, plumbers, woodworkers, painters, permaculture experts, …..
  .This place has qualities for creating a self sustainable community.
  
  But how to improve with little money? How to organize people living here?
  How to share a common philosophy?
  How to find valid collaborations?
  
  I WILL GIVE PRIORITY TO WA WITH PROVED SKILLS. Sorry but, by experience, I prefer people used to and able to work in team but also independently.
  Exceeding use of alcohol and / or other addictions are not suitable as interfering too much with work.
  I CAN OFFER ACCOMODATION and FOOD FOR AROUND ONE/TWO WEEKS to one/two wa at a time .
  From Asti you can reach Torino, Milano, Genova in half/one hour by train.
  
  
  i can help you to find timetables online when you're sure to come and tell me from where/when you arrive.
  IF YOU ARRIVE AT THE STATION JUST CALL ME AND I pick you BY CAR.
  
  Ours is a large house built by my great-grandmother around 1900.
  
  From 1997 I came back here and the house has changed many inhabitants.
  At present an informal community: my sister living next door, Giuseppe the chef and the staff of the restaurant nearby, (they cook mostly fish.( So if you don’t like the smell, it’s not suitable for you), neighbours on a farm sharing same yard and my mum living next door+ friends and wa passing by and some animals.
  i escape cold months to work in wa me too or visiting friends. I grab ideas during my trips and bring them home
  I have been a host for many years... trying to select people with good energy,
  I used to show my guests the wonders of our land or to suggest events or concerts.
  
  I prefer working with music: reggae, hip hop, blues, soul, african, funky, ... IF YOU DON'T LIKE CAN BE ANNOYING
  
  -I try to reduce as much as possible consumption of water and electricity because it’s expensive and I don’t like waste.
  
  - I organized items for swapping and second hand markets , also available for workawayers (clothes, books, bags, tools,..) .
  
  - i have a bike available but we move quite easily in all directions following paths in meadows and woods or using buses stopping in front of the house.

  I love cooking and learning new recipes. I eat quite everything . mostly vegetables, pasta, fruit , cereals . I don't like meat but if it comes as present from a friend I accept and share with guests. If you like to drink a glass of red wine, our area has very good ones.
  i'm a smoker. but i do only out of the house.

  Arbeit

  I’m retired from September ‘20 so my habits are changing a bit.
  My plans are to travel more using Workaway or visiting friends.
  But at the same time I must take care of the house so I will come back from time to time.
  Spending here some months and hosting Workawayers.
  The idea is to do as much as possible when I’m here and the help of a workawayer could be precious.
  Heavy tasks or cleaning deeply take time. Moreover helping together is fun while helping alone is a boring task.
  
  Useful a driving licence or a bike if you like exploring paths.
  Welcome awareness, humour, aesthetic and practical sense.
  
  I’m in good relationships with my neighbours, with the Staff of bar/restaurant next door and with my mother living in front.
  Through my example they started understanding Workaway philosophy so helpers’ presence is testimonial of its values.
  
  They don't speak much other languages, but sometimes need help, so good relationships with them are important and we can get friendship, food and gratitude in exchange.
  
  I offer to workawayers good food mostly vegetarian.
  
  In the evenings (if we're not too tired) and sometimes in weekends ,we could explore together places in the surroundings,, listen to music, watch videos, chat, visit friends,...
  Sea, mountains and big towns as Torino, Genova, Milano are 1-2 hours away so visits are possible
  You can see beauties around ( romanic churches, castles, little villages) and the valley I live is still very woody with well organized pathways for mountain biking and trekking.

  Unterkunft

  My son now works abroad and comes home just a few weeks. So his room is available and a private bathroom as well.
  the house is 150 sm so privacy is possible. we share the kitchen, a studio with a double couchbed, a terrace.
  I don’t ask contribution for electricity and water consumption but being responsible about the waste is essential 🤷‍♀️

  In autumn and spring I put thermostats low opening windows in the morning to let the sun in.
  If you need more warmth , better considering other places.
  By experience, I think it’s easier if wa speak a little Italian. I’m fluent in English and French but it’s exhausting speaking always in another language. Better sharing the effort 😉

  Our connection is good. You can have breakfast and lunch for cheap delivered by the cafe’ restaurant nearby. The staff is young and friendly. In good season you can also work in terrace or garden

  Tents and campervans (not higher than 3.50m) are welcome but toilet and shower outside are very basic and if you park here, you must move from time to time to let grass be cut

  Neighbors have two dogs and some donkeys and chickens. A couple of cats from other neighbors are often passing by. I haven’t yet a gate to close the yard so your pets should be under your responsibility.
