Description
We are an alternative building team based in Turkey. We essentially build with earth, straw and wood, usually housing in the countryside. We have worked with volunteers for years now, and it is partly thanks to them that our buildings have become reality. We are looking for people who want to perfect their building skills. Some past experience is required.
Types of help and learning opportunities
DIY and building projectsCreating/ Cooking family mealsUN sustainability goals this host is trying to achieve
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers will be totally immersed in the construction process, working alongside the team and learning from the actual work on a daily basis. This can be physically demanding and we are looking for people under 40, with a high interest in craftsmanship. We see volunteers more as apprentices willing to learn the skills than free laborers.
