I had such a nice stay at Colleen and Marko's!! I felt like part of the family and they made my stay comfortable from the beginning.
Colleen was super friendly and I was amazed at her languages skills, she told me about her international experiences and it was super interesting and motivating. Marko is really kind and so easy to talk to, we played
… read more some music and talked a lot when working together and it made it so fun! They both made me feel super comfortable and included, also they are open minded and there were really good vibes in the house!
Also they are very dedicated parents and it was heartwarming to see how kind and patient they are with their girl, she is so clever and cheerful! They are raising a wonderful human in the best possible way!
They provided me great food, cooked some local specialties, and also healthy & savoury meals.
The bedroom was comfy and cosy, I had some private time when needed, but I was very happy to enjoy chatting with them, playing with their girl or petting the cat !
Work was mostly cleaning & decluttering - as previously discussed, everything was clearly communicated so I was happy to help them, it was indeed very satisfying!
Also the place is easy to reach with public transport from Ljubljana, and they offered to pick me at the station and dropped me there as well, which was very nice.

Hosting Anna was a true joy and privilege! Anna is kind, smart, contentious, hard working and just lovely to be around! We had lovely conversations and family time and Anna was also very proactive and humble with her work. She is also an AMAZING baker and we were spoiled with some French patisseries!! Julia was simply a delight to host! She is a positive ray of energy and extremely motivated, intelligent and kind. Julia helped us in our home, helping with some basic cooking and household chores and playing with our baby while we got some things done around the house. She worked self-sufficiently and efficiently and we were beyond grateful for
… read more her contributions. Julia is such a conscientious person and was always offering to do more or ask where she could help. It was truly what these tired and busy parents needed!! Our baby absolutely loved her and I think the feeling was mutual! Our cat Ribica also loved playing with Julia and cuddled with her. In the evenings, we had great cultural exchanges and conversations and even made Polish dumplings together:) we made a lovely family friend in Julia and look forward to seeing her again soon!!!

… read more Slovenia and we had a lot of laughs comparing our languages which are similar. I spent a lot of time with their adorable and joyful daughter and I already miss her so much! I also helped with daily chores such as cleaning, but the work was really undemanding and enjoyable. We had unforgettable experiences together like making traditional Polish dumplings, watching a movie with popcorn, and exploring the charming old town of Ljubljana. Collen and Marko are very hospitable and they truly care about making sure their guests have a good experience. I will remember this experience for a long time and hope to see you again soon!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
